A familiar face stumbles upon a brand new society. Their rules, location and setup are unlike anything that has been seen before.

Well they have survived on their own for a long time. They have skills besides fighting. Maggie knows farming. Eugene has a wealth of knowledge. They can hunt and track.

They could become valuable as ammo producers, but it only takes a couple of people to produce ammo.

Just researched and it appears they allude to father Gabriel digging up the ground to throw Negan off so I don't think it is guns. At least fated Gabriel finally made a contribution.

I remember one of the last episode of last season Rick was carting off some of the guns to hide different places outside walls and all if I remember right?

So at this point it seems like a colaborative effort from Alexandria, the hilltop, the kingdom, and these new people are what is going to take down Negan. Whenever that happens next season that would be one hell of a "group" to start a new with.
