Good point. I still think that we are two or three episodes away from being able to check off who could be the killer. Judging by the trailers on youtube, we haven't met that many characters.
Ex. Shea Whigham from Boardwalk is suspected to have a big role in this years season.
Also, does anyone else get a weird vibe from the state trooper?

there's no way Pizzolatto will be able to maintain sole writing duties. production moves way too quickly these days, and he said himself that for this season, he locked himself in a garage for 3 months and covered the walls in sticky notes and shite. he'll have to get a writing team at some point

There is like 3 pages of the value of a partial baseball scholarship at LSU in the mid to late 80's in relation to how well off the family would have to be to make up the difference. People complaining about MM's accent even though he was using his normal speaking voice, Vermilion parish doesn't have anywhere to buy suits that nice, 337 being on a billboard in 95 before that area code existed, sugarcane wasn't tall enough for the time of year.....you know the usual.
Nice. Glad I missed it then.

just seemed like he wasnt surprised that it happened again.
Rust mentions at the beginning while at the crime scene that the killer would do it again.

keep in mind the episodes are the full 60 minutes so that is like 10 or so episodes of network TV
I love HBO series' for this.

i think you misunderstood. im saying he's not surprised that it happened again EVENTHOUGH they supposedly caught him.
the scene you are talkinga bout was right at the beginning before they even had a suspect.

Maybe, but I'm not so sure. This is his baby. He might enjoy the fact that it is all his.

but i got the vibe that rust KNEW all along they had the wrong guy in 95. just seemed like he wasnt surprised that it happened again.
Indeed. When the detectives showed the second murder, he isn't surprised, and he completes the defectives sentence when he says "how did it happen again if we locked him up" or whatever, followed by the smug "how, indeed?" Ending with "start askin the right frickin questions" all but confirms this.
That's why I buy supa's theory that Martin sold out and just made an arrest when rust was close to cracking the case, leading to the fallout. It's almost like rust was waiting for it

I'm sure he does. I'm the same way. I read somewhere that he may be open to a team in the future. Guess we'll have to see.

This is exactly what I think happened.

good stuff here. But if true, why would they have been partners for 7 years???
Has anyone checked on Jerry Sandusky in prison lately???

Regarding the Thursday line - it could be his day off from sobriety.

Anyone have an idea of what Rust drank on his car ride to the Pros Farm?
I'm assuming it's some kind of cough syrup. But, I could be wrong.

Pretty much everyone agrees that it was cough syrup.
