I a pre-alocalyptic society a girl like Lizzie would have been placed in a mental health facility, which, while not perfect, would have been preferable to shooting her. It wasn't the world that did this to her, she was like that already.
And interesting take on the issue I suppose.
I'm not sure how I would have handled that situation. My first thought was just to leave lizzie at the house alone but there would be no way to guarantee she stayed there instead of following the group and killing Judith while they sleep.
I think Carol did what had to be done but I'm not sure I could have.

think that's why they've been pushing issues of the comic out at a faster pace.
Huh? It is a monthly comic is it not ?

They've been doing 2 a month through the most recent story arc.

No pleasing people on the pacing I guess.
it's not the pacing exclusively that i have an issue with. it's just...well, some other shows i watch (i won't name names, 'cuz i don't want to turn it into a pissing contest) have their share of slow-moving episodes, but strong writing validates them. for whatever reason, since last season, it seems like the show got lost & is trying to find itself again, all at the expense of the viewer...but being that i've watched since the beginning & i'm loyal to a fault, i guess i'm gonna ride this thing out to the end, lol....

I really don't understand that. I couldn't be happier with the current season. I feel like they needed to hit the reset button after last season.

Yep Mazzara rushed through the prison arc so much he left most of it untold. Gimple had to go back and retell it.

agree about last season, and i thought this season actually came out of the gate pretty strong. and while the "carl" episode was slow, i did appreciate it since it finally humanized the fricker

+1
A moat is a much better deterrent than a fence, at least in this zombie story. Not as much with the zombies from WWZ.

the moat debate really does remind me of how fun these threads once were

Well the walkers would eventually fill the moat.

and then a drought could dry up the moat

let me just say, the way tWD handles walkers is pretty retarded. there are way too many by this point and they should die a lot more quickly on their own. also the show keeps mixing up the bite/death stuff
a bite alone is not death
a bite alone is not death

Couldn't they just keep waking along the bottom? It's obvious hypoxia doesn't kill them as evidenced by the fire charred zombies tonight.

whose to say that this is set in our universe.
Maybe there are a lot more people in TWD's universe

Just to touch on this real quick, but they are pushing it out bi-monthly for this story arc only. Kirkland said it at he beginning.
Frankly I'll be happy when it's done with. This arc has sucked and right now I'm looking forward to the show more than the comics.

I thought if you get bit, it "activates" the virus everyone has and they eventually die. I thought that was explained in season 1.
