the SFP theory that tv shows go on too long truly applies to tWD. it's a 3-4 season show, max.

Then why watch and comment on it then?

I didn't say it wasn't a valid criticism, just that there is a reason behind it.

so, about what percentage of the comics has the TV show tapped into already?

did you ever read the comics?

no

which is why i'm posting in the

thread

By the way, I didn't care for the show tonight. It was okay, but blatantly obvious in where it was heading (with Minka dying). Admittedly, I didn't think the sister would kill her, but it was clearly coming. If a random character starts getting all kinda of lines and history all of a sudden, they are as good as dead.

I was glad to see Carol shoot Lizzie. And at several points, I was yelling at my TV for Tyrese to shoot Carol in the face.

And where the frick was Judith? I assume she was on Tyrese's back, but it didn't completely look like it was her.

There's still a ton of comic storyline that the TV show is yet to get to.

If it was they smothered the living shite out of her wrapping her up.

I think that was supposed to be Judith, covered up. I think that makes sense in a zombie apocolypse but is also done so they don't have to constantly have babies on set...

Season 2 moved too slow, Season 3 moved too fast, Season 4 moved too slow. No pleasing people on the pacing I guess.

Well im done with this show. It hit a new low tonight.

I'm seeing some people posting this on Facebook and I'm not sure I understand this line of thinking.

My thoughts exactly. I thought it was true to what the human race may become . . . of how people, especially children in this world, could eventually lose it - and how people will have to deal with it - rightly or wrongly.

The show is about how humanity will evolve in a society with no power, no running water, having to scavenge for food and a means of traveling - all with the dead trying to eat you.

it's a tough subject to pace, honestly

see, if that's true, some of the lead characters are gonna need canes or walkers by the time the show makes it to the finish line, lol...

that's actually something i wondered...if/when AMC finally decides to wrap the series, are they just gonna ignore the rest of the comic storyline & put their own finish on it, or are they suddenly gonna ramp it up & skim through the rest? either way, things can get awkward whenever that happens, unless they move more briskly in the present. unless AMC has their sights set on 15-20 seasons, that is

Based on the pacing there is now you would catch up to the Comics at Season 7 or 8 not that long.

I a pre-alocalyptic society a girl like Lizzie would have been placed in a mental health facility, which, while not perfect, would have been preferable to shooting her. It wasn't the world that did this to her, she was like that already.

And interesting take on the issue I suppose.

I think if an actor starts looking dramatically different they could just kill that character off and have a new one take over the role that character was fulfilling from the books.

I think that's why they've been pushing issues of the comic out at a faster pace.
