I do keep hearing the word "hallucination" being brought up. If this is a hallucination by Nick, would that be even more a copout than Nick actually falling on Glenn and being eaten?

Agreed.
Solid episode last night.
As for whether or not Glenn is still alive, I'm torn. On the one hand, they foreshadowed it SO much that it wouldn't surprise me if he was still alive. However, even if the walkers weren't specifically eating Glenn (which I thought they were at first watch, but I watched the scene again and they weren't IMO), it's pretty much an impossible situation to get out of.
My main issue is that if this is how Glenn goes out, that it will be disappointing. For starters, he's smarter than that anyway. But more than that, it's almost more of a careless thing, since he/they could've just hopped the fence on their left or climbed on the roof of a building or something (or at worst, jumped into the dumpster). As much as a main character needed to die here lately (IMO), for Glenn to go out like that was disappointing.
And the wolf attack on Rick in the RV was weird...why wouldn't they all attack at once? Then the RV not starting was hilarious.
And I may be in the minority, but I have no desire at all to see a 90-minute all-Morgan episode next week. Throw some backstory at us, fine...but not an hour+ worth.
ETA: What was Darryl doing when he went ahead of Sasha/Abe? Was he trying to circle back to meet up with Rick? Circle back to Alexandria? I was sort of confused on that, because in the end, the road he was on came out the same direction and he met up with Sasha/Abe/the horde again.

So did he turn around at some point? I figured h was going to Alexandria because when he saw that sign, that's when he made the decision to peace out.
Also, I realized last night how different Darryl sounds when he talks loudly. I think it's because most of his dialigue is all quiet and grunty, but last night he had to out-talk the motorcycle on the CB radio, and he sounded way different.

He's covered in blood and guts, and inches from the gap between the dumpster in the ground. I think he simply wiggles and pulls his blood soaked self under the dumpster and waits for the herd to move on

Yeah the fire escape seemed obvious to me as well. It would have been much easier to defend

Being covered in blood and guts in the past has helped the team escape a scary situation. Season 2.
BUT that was zombie blood and guts and not fresh.
Under the dumpster might help...but that's on rollers...

I think the girl that left Alexandria in the previous episode is going to stumble upon the horde and either pull them away from Glenn or somehow manage to help him escape after he gets into/under the dumpster.
Definitely seemed like he could have made it to the fence then onto the roof, or over the fence to the left of the alley when they were running down it. Would have been worth a try.
Or just chop some arms off of the nearest walkers and wait for help, if he still had the radio he could have let Rick/Daryl/Sasha know what was going on.

Seeing this picture now...isn't that wrong? Wasn't the dumpster up against the fence? If so, then it shouldn't be surrounded completely by walkers.

It seemed like it was closer to the fence than that.

it wasn't. There was a gap between the dumpster and fence.

And of course they had Mr. Ambiguity himself, Damon Lindelof on the show.
Clearly means everyone on TWD is actually in purgatory and there is no zombie apocalypse.

A couple of observations:
First, when I watched it the first time, my first reaction to Glen being eaten was that his intestines are not in his chest. I chalked it up to poor directing and didn't think much of it. After going back and watching that scene again, I think it is very likely that it was Nick they were eating.
I also agree with the poster that talked about Glen saying that he would let everyone know that he was okay. I think we get some ambiguous signal in the next couple of episodes. To make it not so obvious the writers will make it seem like it's the wolves trying to draw the group in, but the group will think that it is glen. When the group gets there, it will be glen.
After seeing the picture, maybe the walkers behind the dumpster are pushing it while trying to get to nick and glen. Considering that the walkers in front of the dumpster have now turned around to eat nick and glen, if the dumpster is on wheels the walkers behind it could easily move it. Maybe they will roll it right on top of glen. However Glen escapes (if he does) is going to feel forced.

No doubt, they made his situation seem too impossible. Too many walkers, no where to escape, laying on his back with them all over him. Even if he gets under the dumpster and escapes, how do you possibly get out of that withou at least a bite on an arm or leg? You don't.

I feel in a lot of the situations the writers tend avoid what I believe most people would do, climb. The walkers have shown that they do not climb things.

OK. I've thought of a way that I won't be pissed.
If Glenn did/does manage to make his way under the dumpster and somehow finds a way inside (there is a hole in the bottom for some reason). And Rick came and rescued him and called him dumbs
It would still be stupid. But I would love it.

Maybe he gets bitten on the leg while climbing on top of the dumpster and has to self-amputate, then he grows out a beard and starts getting really into veterinary medicine?

Exactly.I kept thinking why the eff didn't he go up the fire escape when they got to they one building. It was sloppy writing for an otherwise solid episode. And now the build up is he didn't die which makes it even more sloppy and cheap IMO.

The bottoms of older dumpsters are almost always rusted out. This is a legit possibility. Get under it, whack the soft rust a few times with his pistol, get bathed in roaches and trash water, climb in
