I don't think they ever went back to that. I assume that will show up early in the finale.

Hate to be an arse, but some of y'all must have left the room or fast forward too far. Darryl and Aaron go check it out in the morning. They find more dismembered people. Darryl says this just happened, they keep going and find blonde girl tied to tree. Aaron asks if this just happened, Darryl says yes. Darryl then lifts her head up and sees the w on her forehead, she then turns, he then kills it.

My guess is those people had set up shop for the night and were made by whatever is doing the Ws. Or they were with those people already and were killed by them.

The Wolves are obviously a savage, marauding group. And imo they're headed for a showdown with Alexandria- right in the middle of their dysfunctional moment. Things will sober up quickly I imagine.

The W's are Alexandrians who were kicked out. Carved into their heads before they left.

One thing that I've never understood is the connection between the episodes and the title of the episode... Rarely have I ever been able to find the correlation between the two..

If they're more obvious than it seems, don't make fun of me, I'm not very bright

You are ahead of me. I didn't know they had titles.

Not necessarily, wolves travel in a pack. Scavengers and killers. They could have been taken "into the fold", sorta like Daryl and the claimed group.

Going town to town taking and killing, branding survivors before they turn.

Maybe Alexandria is next. Internal conflict may have to be put on hold for external conflict.

There was a theory about the thread titles posted in a recent episode thread...here's the LINK (I'm not sure of the original source).

quote:

These references to time are particularly odd in the zombie apocalypse, where time has little meaning. All the way back in Season 1 of The Walking Dead, Dale (Jeffrey DeMunn) was asked why he bothered to keep track of time. He replied with a story from William Faulkner.

“I like what the father said to the son when he gave him a watch that had been handed down through generations. He said: ‘I give you a mausoleum of all hope and desire which will fit your individual needs, no better than it did mine and my father before me. I give it to you not that you may remember time, but that you may forget it. For a moment, now and then, and not spend all of your breath trying to conquer it.'”

Someone with a very sharp eye at The Spoiling Dead Fans realized this quote holds the titles of all of this season’s Walking Dead episodes set in Alexandria, in chronological order (bolded for reference): “Remember,” “Forget,” “Spend,” “Trying,” and “Conquer.”

ETA: that still doesn't really explain how they fit in with each episode, but it's kind of interesting anyway.

"No sanctuary" was kinda obvious, "four walls and a roof" too.

Nah, the showdown won't happen until the next mid-season (or possibly full-season) finale. They (whoever they are) will more than likely be discovered in the next episode, though.

So many different ways this could go. Rick's group could, in part or as a whole, be evicted or decide to leave (if Rick is evicted), then have to deal with the outside enemy on their own - with the later option of returning to or overtaking Alexandria. Or, Rick's group could be asked to stay to defend Alexandria.

I'm tired of the group being split up, but it actually works out well as far as the cohesion of episodes and seasons. Whatever happens, I just hope Gabriel gets got before everything else goes down.

Who are the four? Did she lose other kids than Aiden?

Why does it have to be people we know of? They have lost others. Graveyard is a place for sorrow and remembrance. After losing someone, going to their town graveyard to just "be sad" seems like a normal thing to do.

What are we to make of Rick's lines from the finale promo: "They'll hunt us. They'll find us. They'll try to kill us. But we'll kill them".

I know the promos always try to misdirect the viewers so this could mean different things. Who is "they"? Alexandrians? Seems unlikely. The new threat? Almost seems like he's referring to a "set up" of sorts- as in "we'll let them find us." I'm intrigued.

The doc was all swolled up on beer must led too. Let's not forget he probably wasn't feeling much pain and was in a drunken rage.
