Yea I posted that above also. Broke it down into the 3 separate transmissions.

While the machetes, cannibalism, and burning bodies are all similar to what they have done. It seems to be old news he heard before. News that he is relating to current events.

The disturbing part about those news reports is that they described something that happened to this group during the ZA but also something that you could hear today on the news here in the real world regarding violence in Africa, ISIS, etc. Like I said in my previos post, pretty deep and disturbing stuff.

I know it's a good episode when the next day I am still thinking about it and a bit bothered. It's not like I am mourning Tyreese, I was ready for him to go. They had turned him into such a wimp, basically Judith's babysitter.

Don't be too hard on yourself. You do very well on here despite the disadvantages you arrived with.

We then get to watch him hallucinate about characters he barely knew???

he spent quite a lot of time with the Governor, the twins, Bob, and Beth.

He had a very traumatic/guilty experience with Martin.

Exactly. He blamed Bob's death on the fact that he did not kill Martin. Bob even has to say "No I was bitten anyways"

He also felt like he should have saved the twins.

Was still upset with himself for trying to join the Governor.

It's a testament to the popularity and overall quality of the show that it can inspire such passionate debate about a world with zombies.

I watched the whole series over one wkend, so I can't say that my memory is perfect, but wasn't this the longest death scene of any previous character? To me, it was dragged out way too long, with too much repetition of certain images when he was hallucinating. And the commercials were too noticeable. From the 28 minute mark into the show till only 15 minutes remained, there was 3 long commercials spread though out 3 short story lines.

DVR and fast forward through the commercials. I don't know why more people don't do this. It's the only way to watch this show. I'll usually let it get a good 20-30 minute head start.

This was perfectly in form with his character, stop bringing this up.

If he was that fricking stupid he wouldn't have lasted a week. Stop defending the weak writing. I would have rather seen him jump off a cliff. Maybe the dumb priest would have gone out like that.

His senses would have been on high alert. My pets can't move around my house silently, you think a fricking zombie can. Lazy, filler writing. To each his own.

I missed the end of the credits...was there anything at the very end (like a Morgan sighting)?

Completely irrelevant. We're talking about a made up TV show.

How is it weak that a character that has been shown to do stupid shite like that died doing stupid shite? It's consistent in the universe they've made.

it was a decent episode, but having Tyreese go out that way, when he was "going in first to make the sweep" to make sure it was safe was just lazy writing.

Disagree. They were looking for 3 bodies, mother and the twins. He sees mother dead on the floor, twin 1 on the bed and what he thinks is twin 2 behind the door. It's not crazy to think that he would drop his guard after checking all the names off the list. Now we do have to suspend belief for a second to think twin 2 was a silent assassin zombie, but we are watching a zombie end of the world tv show. Tyrese had serious issues after his woman died and was trusted only as a protector for Judith, usually at camp surrounded by others. His death was no more lazy then any other on the show.

It's amazing when zombies can pull doors open to get out of a bedroom. That's a ZA I do not want to live in.

After reading this thread and the radio broadcast translations.. i like this episode more. And I enjoyed it last night too.

He talked about how growing up he would listen to world events, things happening thousands of miles away. Then in his death he hallucinates a radio broadcast of all the events he's seen.

Finally at the very end of his line, he asks to turn the radio off.

He talked about how he didn't like listening to the radio but it kept him aware and alert of all the craziness in the world. Then at the end he didn't have to be alert and on guard, he could just turn off the radio and his alertness and die. The girls that he was imagining were saying the same thing. You don't have to live in this life anymore. Your better now (aka dead). It is along the same lines that Rick told Carl last episode that you are never safe, no matter who or how many people are around you. You are never safe in this world and you must always be alert.

the twins

I saw a lot of that in this thread. Lizzie and Mika aren't twins, just sisters, right?

Also saw soeone say that the pic of the twins that Tyrese was staring at, they thought Noah was the "evil twin." But those were Noah's brothers...one of the pics even showed Noah with the two twins.

He basically even confirmed it last night to (I think) Noah..telling him that he wanted to give up at times, but kept fighting and never quite gave in to death, and that it led him to the prison and to being Judith's savior. "She's alive because of me; I got her back to her father" or something like that. So in a way, it was the character saying that his "mission" was fulfilled, and he could now be killed off.

Also, as much as I didn't care for the episode, the slow motion thing near the end was pretty badass. It did bug me that Michonne and Rick let that one walker lady waltz right past them and almost get to Tyrese though.

Oh, and of course the thing with Noah:
"Can you hold him up?"
"Yeah."
*immediately drops him*
