America got it right on Jamar. Tony is good, but I didn't think the Britney Spears thing was great...but Blake nailed it when he said how smart it was. It all but guaranteed America voting him on. America has done a solid job this season voting the right people through.
Mathai is finally gone. Katrina did just okay, but she is leagues better than mathai, so the correct people moved on for team Adam.
Chessa blew as usual. Glad to see her finally fricking gone. She had to have been blowing CeeLo or some shite for her to be here this long.
Juliet did really well I thought. Plus, Torn is a great song choice. I was worried Ceelo would pick Chessa, but he made what should've been an easy call with Juliet.
Finally, apparently it's a fricking requirement for the coaches to respond to every single fricking "I LOVE YOU" from the crowd. Holy fricking shite, that gets annoying as frick. Stop attention whoring it up, coaches...this show is not about you.

Christina has done this at least one time per show. No lie. I would bet money on it. I cringe everytime the coaches acknowledge that stuff.

She is the worst, and Adam does it a lot too, but they all do it.
Also, normally I like hearing what Adam has to say, but dude rambled on for like ten minutes last night before making the obvious choice to nix Mathai.

I rewound the DVR and he literally rambled over 4 minutes straight. That was unreal. Especially because the decision was definitely obvious. The funny part is that his first comments to each of them made it easy to tell who he was going to give the ax. The rest of it was 3.5 minutes of fluff.

Watched both episodes last night so thoughts all combined here:
- Mathai peaked in her blind audition and hasn't found that performance again. I think this is what Adam was getting at when he cut her. He kept waiting on her to wow him again but never happened.
- I think the same can be said for Pip. I also think his song selection is what really killed him in the end
- Katrina was not one of my favorites at first but has really improved with each performance. Just please, no more Adelle.
- Tony's song choice was smart but this dude should be one of the first ones cut from the final 8
- I actually thought Jamar's song choice on Monday night was awful. The guy has a good voice and stage presence but I didn't think that song worked for him vocally.
- Bye, Chessa. No clue how you hung on this long. You can't suck for 2 minutes and then hit one big note at the end and expect to win.
- James or Chessa was the right call on the Monday night cut. James has a smooth voice and what he does, he does well. That kid belongs in an NSync type band. Didnt really like watching him but could appreciate what he was doing up there
- Can we make it a requirement for Julliette to sing Bobby McGee before this show is over? This to me would be the perfect song for her and I want to see her do it. Enjoy most of her performaces. Wasn't really blown away with the Cryin' cover though. Glad she was kept.

- And Cokes you mentioned the coaches acknowledging the crowd which is annoying. My problem is the crowd. What kind of dipshit yells that crap? What do you have to gain from it?

It also happens every show. It is more annoying than "get in the hole!!!" guy who yells at every golf event on par 5 drives.

Thought the same thing. Christina even said it in her critique of Juliet...she wants some rock shite. If she doesn't sing a Joplin song (either Bobby Magee or Piece of My Heart, though Mercedez Benz could be brilliant) next time, she's stupid...her voice is made for it. The only concern would be that most of America voting are younger people who may not be familiar with Joplin or her songs.

Juliet would own "piece of my heart". Would love for her to do that song. I really thought she did well with "torn" last night. That's a different song than her style but she made it work.

. i understand sob stories tug at our hearts i'm guilty of it sometimes but this guy contracted hiv from doing fricking drugs its not like he caught it by accident it was his own damn fault. i admit i'm a little guilty of it too i had a soft spot for him but the more i think about it the more retarded it seems to put him over more talented people like julliet because he was a dumbass and couldnt control himself

For the people that watch both this and idol, what do y'all think of the talent of each. I think as a whole, the voice had better talent but I much prefer the top idol talents over the top voice ones
