Did anybody else think that Maz was about to jump Chewy’s bones? She started giving him bedroom eyes for sure.

thinking back on it, it feels very much like JJ tried to stuff his VIII and IX into one movie.

Maz still should have gone my dude Chewie a hug and put it on his neck for him. He’s lost all of his old buddies except for Lando who is tryna get that Colt .45 action on the holo chess board in some system with spice running going on.

The best phrase I can use to describe the amount of callbacks in TRoS is “too much of a good thing is a bad thing”

I felt like JJ tried to shove as much shite from the OT into this one as possible. I thought TFA struck a pretty good balance between old and new. This one felt like “oh shite, we pissed a bunch of people off, and no one cares about our new characters, please come see this movie”

There was no drama whatsoever in this movie

What a dumb take.

The entire military is still out there at the end of the film.

Nah. Fin said people were rising up all over the galaxy to fight and then we saw star destroyers in different planets being destroyed. That was the first order

Just got out, maybe my views will change as I read issues others find but I thought it was a good movie

There are some flaws that just couldn’t be avoided due to the situation JJ was given such as pacing but even with that I thought it was a good movie. I am simply amazed JJ was able to salvage what he did after what he was given

I feel sorry for people that hate that movie. It was a blast.

I was pulling for Rey to turn dark side And wreck shite for another movie.

Same here. I'll write up a review tomorrow, but overall I liked it. I really hate that I am horrible cynic and end up nitpicking the shite outta it because overall it was a fun ride. Had a good mix of fun and intensity.

There was a setup. Finn was very in your face discovering latent force powers. He could have been the one to rise up to take down Rey in his trilogy. Rian would have eaten that shite up.

So the reason Rey didn’t become a sith when Palpatine died was because his own lightning rebounded on him?

That’s some Harry Potter shite.

She didn’t kill him in hate.

How I took it.

Same here. She didn't give into hate and kill him for personal gain.

They could have married and started another Skywalker bloodline

To be fair I’m not sure either of those bloodlines should reproduce, especially not Rey’s

ow does Rey originally die? Just exhaustion from reflecting but not absorbing the lightning?

My theory on it was Sideous basically killed her when he knocked her down and the power of all the Jedi past allowed her to get up and kill him. Afterwards said power left he and she fell back again

you like how they feel the need to make the Falcon do flips and tricks even while doing the most menial and basic tasks like landing? It’s so absurd.

One scene the falcon can hover, the next it crash lands like an airpland bc a landing gear is damaged. Make up your freaking minds, guys!!!!!!

Was that lightning the first time. I thought that was Sidious drawing their life out or powers maybe.

I disagree with almost everything you said.
