Are you sure that’s not Edie Falco?

Read the credits. It's Amy Aquino.

First I thought it was Lisa Edelstein from House MD:

To be fair that was probably 3-4 presidents and 5-6 congresses ago.

Clearly it’s Peggy—Ray’s nemesis— from Everybody Loves Raymond. Amy Aquino.

Then, presumably a year or so later, he's telling Ross to frick off.

Pretty sure the shite had just hit the fan, and he realized he made a mistake.

Yeah if he was still active in Infinity War then he probably would have gotten discharged or court martialed for telling Secretary Ross to frick off and refusing the order to arrest Steve

He literally says "That's a court martial" when he hung up the phone.

Also, his uniform in Endgame says Lt Col. He was a full bird in this episode.

How did he get promoted if he was retired?

Ross didn’t know the situation either. Who knows if he got snapped or not.

After watching this episode I just thought about something, how exactly did Falcon did get his suit? I haven't seen the earlier movies in a while. I believe he was introduced in CA2?

Did Stark make it? I can't picture any interactions between Sam and Stark. I just know he is former military guy, but apparently must be a tech guy as well?

I think the opening sequence with Sam being a solo bad arse was a nice way to get the fans invested.

I agree with this. I really like seeing how good he is at what he does without Steve in front of him, he can stand on his own. I like the fact that he repairs his own gear too.

I really liked the slow burn of Bucky's role in the first episode too. Showing that remnants of the past are still there but he is trying to atone from it.

Experimental military tech. He was on the team that tested it in the field.

Not sure why someone downvoted you, his original wings were experimental military like you said. Not sure when the new wings came into play with the stark stuff in it. It seems to really react to him blocking bullets and such.

I think he had this set in antman at the storage base.

I thought it was a very strong opening episode. Character driven, but that big action scene up front was sweet too. I'm not really that big of an espionage and intrigue guy, but I liked it in Winter Solider and Civil War and I'm liking it here too. The Louisiana connection is a nice touch for us. (in the comics, Monica Rambeau was from La. too. I can't remember if she is in the MCU, but it would be pretty cool to have two Louisiana based MCU superheroes).

To be honest, I'm not really expecting this show to get a huge positive reaction on this board - or the present day iteration of any TD board. Will be interesting to see how it plays out, though.

Exactly. I'm just laughing at folks saying Sam couldnt be Cap cause of no Serum.

Dude took out a squadron of helicopters, killed a platoon of terrorists while jumping from chopper to chopper, fought a low level super-villain in Batroc, and saved the hostage...by himself.

Of course Steve is a better martial artist and stronger but Sam is not a slouch.

They did a really good job of showing his ability. Not only did he save the day, but did so despite losing physically to Batroc. Him losing that one fits because even Cap sort of broke a sweat fighting Batroc.

Also, they’re doing great character work with Bucky, who is the more interesting of the two. His amends list is a good way for us to believe his eventual journey to hero.

Emil Blonsky used it will have a negative impact on Walker’s mentality. He’s going to screw something up.

In the comics he's far more willing to do whatever the government tells him to do than Steve Rogers ever was so he's probably going to end up doing something he greatly regrets. For example, he'd have likely been 100% ok w/what SHIELD was doing in CA: Winter Soldier and asked zero questions which would have inadvertently led to Hydra taking over.
