Dear lord, people like that do so much damage to legitimate claims of racism.
100%. People don’t understand the damage they do when they keep “crying wolf” like this. Annoys the hell out of me

Sounded like he was about to say "David is an idiot"

Man usually I don't let the virtual signaling stuff get to me, and I usually make fun of the "boycott the NFL" types, but between the cast and the BB Reddit/Twitter community and this boring season, it is really turning me off. Thankfully this thread is here, otherwise I would have probably stopped watching.
It's clear TMZ and the community has a bias against Memphis, and have had it going back to the nomination ceremony when he put David up. It's just clear fake news bullshite, and annoying. BB is not always innocent, Season 15 was terrible with the racism and sexism, but Memphis hasn't down anything to show himself to be racist (he's still a POS for the Ian stuff last week).
This season is just flat out boring and full of stupidity, and with TNF and SNF happening, I would imagine they start to see a decline in viewers.

I agree, I think they already have. There's 5-6 of us at work that normally have daily talks about what's going on in the house. This year and mostly the last few weeks I'm basically the only one still interested in it and my interest is declining fast.
I honestly think a season full of newbies would have been better than this years "players who said yes", as Dayvonne put it..

These false accusations of racism(really social media in general) are gonna end up killing the show.

Yeah that seems pretty obvious imo.
So is it Ian tonight?

I'm thinking yes... but a lot of things could happen between now and then. And with Dani as a tie-breaker who knows how she'd really vote.

Yep, unless something drastic happens today.
I checked in on the feeds about a half hour ago and they were all still asleep.

I’m ready for a double eviction episode!
Posted on 9/17/20 at 1:00 pm to The Spleen
I’m not saying Memphis couldn’t have said it, but it is very hard to tell from the clip. I’m not sure how anyone can say that they are certain that he said that word.

If they would go with a season full of newbie super fans, and not people looking for instagram fame, sure.

Twitter WISHES Memphis said that. Then they will have a hard evidence that he is the racist they make him out to be and can then be outraged.
I’ve followed this thread bc I enjoy the back and forth on here but I have not watched a single episode. What Julie did with that white dude That won last year was the last straw for me.
And from what I’ve read the game is still “let’s not hurt anybody’s feelings and focus on jury management and being accepted outside of the house”. That’s an aspect of big brother obviously but it’s also made this game a shell of what it used to be.

Season 15 was so bad with the bigotry and CBS ddid little to nothing about it, so caused a backlash to where they have over emphasized on it since. The complaints about it in this thread get a little old, but there is some validity to a lot of it. I don't really follow the Twitter stuff anymore because most of them in prior seasons always liked the players I hated. So this thread, and a couple of sites that just chronicle what happened on the live feeds are all I really follow.
I thought Memphis's reasoning for targeting David when he was HOH was stupid. Who is he to decide who deserved to be on this show? But there was nothing racist about it. But I also think there's room for discussion on all of the people of color this season spending time on the block with 2 of them being evicted, and none of them ever really being in the inner circle of power. That doesn't mean those decisions had racial animus to them, as I don't think there was. But we have the privilege of live feeds and seeing all the conversations that the people of color weren't party to, so we have different perspectives.

I mean, it's bleeped out in that link so hard to determine what he said.
Such garbage for TMZ to bleep it out in the clip and conclude that Memphis actually said the slur.

I'm frustrated today, so I will take this battle. This is a load of bullshite.
For argument sake lets say that the minorities in the house were/are: Kayser, Bayleigh, Day, David, and Kevin.
Kayser tied his wagon squarely to Janelle (also gone). They spent their time glued to each other, and Janelle spent the whole time shite talking Nicole (Nicole is still obsessed with her).
Kevin spends more time crying and being paranoid that not a single person wants to be around him. He is playing messy, and doesn't have any trust.
David had a chance to be safe with his Tyler alliance, but let's be frank, he is terrible at this game. Lying about the power is the epitome of that. He could have gotten in on the Cody-Enzo-Tyler macho bro group, but just never really tried.
Bay and Day, before last week, were playing pretty well. They may not be in the Committee, but if a few things go differently I really think they could have both been in the top 6 or so.
The "inner-circle" is really Cody, Enzo, and Tyler, with maybe Memphis but I think they would cut him without hesitation, whereas (until maybe the last few days) Tyler would save David. Danielle, Nicole, and Christmas are honestly only still around for numbers.
The game will come down to Cody, Enzo, or Tyler, not because they are three white men, but because they can win competitions, haven't made enemies, strategize more than their feelings for the week, and make friends with everyone. You know, they play Big Brother.
ETA: If anything, it isn't racism that should be the issue, it's sexism. 3 of the first 5 evicted were white women, and 4 of the first 5 evicted were women.

first, Memphis did not say n.....
second, people have to get off their high horses. Just because you have a racist thought, it doesn't mean you are racist. It means you are human and you are bound to act on emotions.

I agree with everything you said. You left off the part where I said we have the perspective of seeing what is actually going on in the game, while Bay, Day, David, and Kevin do not. There has been no racism this season that I have seen. When I say there is an opportunity for discussion, I mean both sides have an opportunity to listen to the other side's perspective and hash it out.

IN game news, it looks like Day, Kevin, and David are voting Tyler to force a tie. They stupidly told Nicole though, so she may switch her vote. And Day and Kevin are skeptical of David.
But David shook Day's and Kevin's hand promising he's voting to evict Tyler. So now it comes down to Nicole.

What are these idiots doing? Now Kevin is telling Dani they're voting Tyler to force a tie and not to tell anyone.
Kevin to Dani - David wants you to have the blood on your hands.
