Yeah, I pretty much said the move isn't racially motivated. I can at least try to see the situation from the eyes of Bay and Day and understand why they may think it is. Again, we have access to discussions they haven't been party to, so we know a lot more that's going on in the house that they don't.
I think this illustrates the massive disconnect in our society at large on these issues. Neither side is willing to listen to the other side to gain understanding of the other side. While I don't think Bay's and Day's cries of racism are entirely accurate, I can at least understand why they would perceive it that way. I also can't ignore that they both entered the house with a lot of prejudices on race relations, and that is contributing to their potential reactions. It's a shitty situation, and instead of actually trying to gain understanding, one side will get defensive and the other will use it as more evidence of racism.

This nation we’re living in right now is so fricked. We’re talking about racism in a game where only one person can win. One of them would have to go home at some point regardless. I get the optics but they’re a duo. Duos never really do well.

putting the 2 black girls on the block at the same time a week after a Muslim was evicted, and when the other black guy and a gay guy have all spent time on the block, is going to raise some eyebrows.
Nevermind that Keisha and Janelle went home weeks 1 and 3. Two good looking white women. The people that would be offended by Bay and Day don't have the want to think logically.

Absolutely. I would hope that if they go the route of crying racism that they're willing to correct that once they get home and watch the season to see there really wasn't any racial animus in the move.
But I don't think they will. I could see Day maybe doing so, but not Bay.

Are we also forgetting a gay hispanic guy and a lesbian black girl have won in the last few seasons?

I forgot how much I despised Bayleigh. I thought she had changed this season but guess I was Wrong.
Ian’s and Kaysar laid out the whole game for her and she turned right around and ratted Ian out to Cody. She deserves this for not keeping her mouth shut.

Bayleigh has been pissed at Ian for whatever reason, but it’s like she forgets that she exposed everything Ian had planned. The chance to make this season into something was exposed by her. I’m over Bayleigh. She’s not an all-star.

The only thing to understand about Bay is that whenever she doesnt get her way it is because of racism. Period.

What does Ian even do if he wins the next HOH? Does he take the shot at Cody like I still believe he wants to or does he do what Franzel tells him?

I don't watch the feeds, are ian and nicole even tight right now? I know they were supposedly a duo coming in as former winners but do they interact much? From an outside perspective he doesn't really seem to be working with anyone.

They had a "final 2" from early on, but Nicole was basically just using Ian as a shield and number. She had Ian form an alliance with her, Dani & Cody but it was fake to everyone but Ian. I think Ian knew deep down that it was all fake to Nicole, but the wall yeller drove it home to him. Nicole will continue to act like she is still strong with him, but she will no longer go to bat for him if anyone wants to put him up.
Bayleigh is now done with him because he basically tried to walk back what he said about the Cody/Nicole alliance stuff which pissed her off. So I don't see him being able to work with her and Day going forward.
Him and Tyler made a quick "alliance" yesterday morning called the Insurance Policy, but I seriously doubt that either think it is real at the moment because it was basically just a 5 minute conversation. If Ian is smart he will try and work on Tyler some more, because if Tyler thinks that Ian might really want to work with him, he may start to see Ian as an actual insurance policy and might be able to provide some cover for him.
But at the moment Ian is definitely screwed in the house.
