But how could only 2 people pick folks off, especially early on?
It's not like they would NEVER speak to each other, it'd just be very quick and in secret. Ideally they'd be in 2 separate alliances. If there was someone they felt was a big threat, they could each throw the name up in their respective camps.

what season was that? How'd it turn out?
Not sure the season, but it was Dan and Memphis. Dan won and Memphis came in second.
Dan aligned with Brian, picture Devin, and Brian decided it was good to align with everyone in the house. He was voted out first. But, they had a solid group of 4 and everyone was voted out in order, leaving Dan. Him and Memphis created The Renegades and ran through the house, and kept it a secret.

The strategy sounds great on paper, but I don't think it's that easy. What if the one person you picked turns out to be a dick? What if you find someone else who you like/trust more?
There are so many BB alums who said they come into the house with a strategy then it gets completely thrown out the door once the show starts because of house dynamics.
Every season is different. Some seasons they go for the strong people first, other seasons they go for weak people first.

Chilltown had the best two man alliance, but it sure as heck wasn't a secret in the all-star season. But they pwned that house. It may be the only alliance (at least that I can think of) where each member won a season.

will is still my favorite player ever.
he nearly won twice. and his and Boogie's diary room interviews were hilarious.

Will was definitely the master mind of Chilltown, and the better overall player/manipulator. That dude was awesome. I remember one time in the all-star season he was nominated for eviction, and the dude he was nominated with won the power of veto. But the dude gave Will the chance to speak, and Will proceeded to tell everyone he was having a hard time decided who he hated more in the house because he hated everyone so much. He said if they didn't evict him he'd start throwing food challenges and every other challenge. He then proceeded to get the veto winner's replacement evicted. He was a boss when it came to playing that game. Too bad Janelle finally wised up on him and evicted him in the final 4 (although she might've been played a little by the other girl that was left into evicting him, I can't quite remember).

Will
dan
boogie.
best 3 players in BB history in that order. Boogie was probably the best at reading people. Will is just an evil fricking genius

That all star season was so money. First second everyone says we got to get will out. Will just mind fricks them at every turn.

Agreed. I can't believe they havent tried this again since. They keep adding a few old members each year and everyone treats them like celebrities. Would be a lot more even if everyone was old rather than mixing them.

My cousin has a strategy for if he ever got on. Within about 24-48 hours he'd pick someone who he felt could be completely trustworthy and also pretty good at comps. He'd pull him aside on like day 2 and form just a 2 man pact that trumps any and all other alliances, but it would be truly in secret. He said he'd never act like they're friends, maybe even stage an argument or confrontation. Basically not give off any appearance that the 2 even speak to each other very often. But that alliance would be #1 and they'd just pick people off til the end.
quote:You talking about Danielle and Jason in Big Brother 3?
there were 2 people who did that "sort of" once. they never talked, they just played chess.
They really did it well and no one ever really knew about them until the end. Unfortunately they didn't make the finals together because the other person in the final 3 won the last HoH and Danielle lost the vote 9-1 because everyone was so pissed at their secret alliance.
In spite of that I think they played the game really well.
It could work great, but in my opinion , the problem with that strategy is the other person. If you pick someone unreliable or crazy then you could be in trouble. I mean, that's basically what Devin and Donnie did this season and we see how that's going to work out.
ETA:
Just saw this on the link I posted and didn't realize it. I found it interesting:
quote:
In Big Brother 3, HouseGuests returned home and could watch the show in its entirety after their evictions. This led to the HouseGuests seeing all of Danielle's Diary Room sessions in which she spoke very poorly of them and gloated on how she lied to their faces and betrayed them. This is often credited as the main reason that Danielle lost to Lisa. When asked about the final vote, Danielle stated "I believe during the final vote they forgot it wasn’t a game about ethics. It should be about who played the game the best." Despite this, there are many who feel that Lisa did deserve the win.

I wouldnt who would agree. have to think dan boogie will wouldnt do it again. brittany probably wouldnt do it again. I just dont know what "all stars would do it"

Imagine Will and Mike in the same house as Brendon and Rachel.
Rachel might actually kill herself at some point if that were to happen.
But they should have a two person team all-star season. You could have Will and Mike, Brendon and Rachel, Jeff and Jordan, Dick and Daniele, Lane and Hayden, and whoever else were good pairs.
They just don't need to mix all-stars with noobs anymore.

agree
But I couldnt take another season with Rachel on it. they have pretty much done all of those teams already. Daniele and that guy from her season go married
I also just dont see Will and mike coming back to BB.

This is true. Will and Boogie will definitely not do it again, and this is probably a good thing. They would never be able to replicate the All-Star season. I would even take some All-Stars back from the first one if they agreed. After watching that season, I liked almost everyone from that season. I think they could fill an all star cast out with enough people. Maybe Dick, Rachel, Brendon, Jeff, Brigade mixed in with some Season 6 like Kaysar and James. Plus I feel like the game would be elevated with everyone thinking they are "all stars"

I've only watched the past several years. My exposure to boogie is when he mixed in that recent season, and I'm not familiar with will. What season was the first one they were together? I might like to watch that.
Also I've never seen an all star season. When was the last one? And which one is the best?

Does anyone know when Joey freaked out and pissed everyone off?

Only one All-Star season: Season 6.
Both Will and Boogie were in Season 2 and Season 6, but Season 6 is far, far better IMO.
