I found it pretty amusing when Batman and Catwoman were on the roof, Batman turned around and she was gone and he said "So that's what that feels like."

How was it funny he got chills?
I didnt get them there but I did when Blake was in the Batcave with the Bats flying around like Bruce did in Begins.

What the heck is chills? You a 12 yr old girl? I never understood people that get these in reaction to a movie or sports.

I don't know about chills, but I almost let out a "frick yeah" when Bane broke the Bat over his knee. Knightfall bitch.

No, just one in perspective and I don't let myself get emotionally invested in crap that doesn't matter.

That beats the point of watching a movie. Sitting there not caring who lives or dies, if the bad or good guy win, etc.

how'd Gordon know that it was Bane down in the sewers after their first encounter? is Bane just some well known terrorist? I don't remember anyone saying who he was.

Not chills, but prety pumped up. I loved the first appearance of the Batman in the movie as well. This kind of reminded me of a Rocky movie. Got his arse kicked and made an incredible recovery.

I defended the movie for like 5 pages earlier in the thread. Just wanted to get that out there. But this joke was so corny to me. The theatre cracked up but instantly turned to my buddy and did the ba da ching drummer noise after a Leno joke.

My basis for thinking BW is real at the end...
Alfred has no basis for knowing that it was even remotely possible that there was anything between SK and BW. Also, BW had retrieved the pearls from SK at the charity function and Alfred knew this. Therefore, there was no way that he would have dreamed that BW and SK would be together and that she would be wearing the pearls.

Like I kept saying earlier, I think people are forgetting this is a movie. Not real life. Yes it is a realistic take on Batman, but, not everything is going to be perfect. How many movies in the history of film has no flaws? Other than a documentary. Maybe a handful. Especially something this so intricate and with so much going on.

This shouldn't be a debate. It was him. This isn't Inception.
He saw him. Each time before he looked over and saw some other dude he thought was Bruce Wayne. This was Bruce Wayne. Selena Kyle being there only only makes it more obvious.

I was so ready for Alfred to look up, smile....and then the credits roll. That would've been vintage Nolan, and would have infuriated me.

I thought the same thing. I was actually glad he let it play out.

I would have laughed had that happened.

It was just a really well done scene. Unlike TDK, this film actually had emotion. Additionally, I thought the two fight scenes between Batman and Bane were unbelievably well done.
The dialogue during the first fight was almost as good as the actual fight itself.
BATMAN (to Selenna): You've just made a serious mistake.
BANE: Not as serious as yours, I fear.
BATMAN: Bane.
BANE: Let's not stand on ceremony here...Mr. Wayne.
BANE: [inaudible] Victory has defeated you!
BANE: Theatricality and deception are powerful agents to the uninitiated. But we are initiated, aren't we Bruce? Members of the League of Shadows. And you betrayed us.
BATMAN: You were excommunicated by a gang of psychopaths.
BANE: I am the League of Shadows. And I am here to fulfill R'as al Ghul's destiny!
BANE: You fight like a young man, nothing held back. [inaudible]
BANE: Oh, you think darkness is your ally. You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it--I didn't see the light until I was already a man. By then, it was nothing to me but blinding! The shadows betray you because they belong to me!
BANE: I will show you where I have made my home while preparing to bring justice...then, I will break you.
BANE: Your precious armory, gratefully accepted! We will need it. Ah yes, I was wondering what would break first--your spirit, or your body?
