I'm just trying to figure out how someone comes this close to finding Obi-Wan, and then Vader just...stops looking? That's the most interesting thing about this to me. I really want to know how they make that make sense.

Disney has not ruined the Mandalorian. The last season of Clone Wars was incredible.
Sure the last two movies were arse chowder, but it has not all been bad.
Book of Bobba was just so-so it was not terrible.
I am will to allow F&F the chance to fix it.

I don't think Filoni and Favreau are involved in this.
ETA: They're not listed on the wiki page or on IMDb.
ETA2: So far nearly everything Star Wars that Kathleen Kennedy has touched, and Filoni and Favreau haven't been involved in, has been subpar. Maybe this will be different.

Can someone explain the grand inquisitors to me? I played the Fallen Jedi game that had the chick grand inquisitor in it. Why do they carry light sabers?

They explained it in the game. They are former Jedi who are brainwashed into serving the Empire. They are basically one of their special forces division, with an emphasis on hunting down surviving Jedi and either converting them or ending them.

Inquisitors would make more sense if you’d watched Rebels too. Dark side force wielders (some former Jedi, though not Sith) who serve the Empire by hunting down Jedi who survived Order 66.

People are getting too worked up over this because of how the John Wiiams music pulls at the nostalgic heartstrings of what Stars Wars once menst to so many and how a new property was so anticipated.
It's likely the most beloved original entertainment property in modern American history.
But look what they've done to it. The fanbase will now be glad if one of the most important characters in the entire history of Star Wars is on the same level as a no-name, made up character's show that wasn't great, but didn't totally crash and burn like everything else Disney Star Wars has produced in the last decade.
That folks, is an Overton Window. And Disney has moved it perfectly.
I hope this is good. I really do. But won't be. It may be serviceable, but nothing that company touches will ever be on the upper level of quality ever again.
