Are you serious? Do you really think he is going to say anything worth hearing? No chance.
I never thought Bush had anything worthy to say, but I tuned into every speech he made during Prime Time. It's not about whether they have something interesting to say or not. It's about the leader of the free world commanding a little more respect than a television show.

I'm not going to give the guy that is trying to turn this country into a communist country any respect. You are crazy.

Actually, for me it is important he have something substantial to say and not just spewing more meaningless rhetoric we come to expect and accept from our politicians.

He's done nothing to earn my respect. Zilch. Nothing to earn the respect of the people that voted for him. Zilch.
I'll be cleaning my toilets, not watching TV though.

You obviously don't think for yourself AND you don't know what Communism is.

P.S. If you're on Obama's side, you're on the wrong side.

You mean, all three that he made within his first 100 days
Oh yeah, that didnt happen.... As I posted in another thread. I would love to see how many primetime news conferences Clinton or Bush had during their 8 years.
Id be willing to bet it was 2-3 a year.

Im not on either side. If your picking a "side" when it comes to the future of this country then you are the problem.
is so hard to understand about this? Not everyone is a f**king sheep for the repubs or the dems. If you are so be it but do not expect me to read pointless crap about how your "side" is 100% perfect and the other "side" is 100% wrong.

I don't agree with the President a lot of issues, but I voted for him and he's still the President. By virtue of being the President of the United States of America, he deserves respect, just as his predecessor deserved and still deserves respect.
I'm with the other poster, but I'll expand on it: this thread is indicative of how the political right wing and this country are both going down the toilet. None of you have said anything substantive regarding the President, and this thread exists because a freaking sitcom is being pre-empted for a prime time press conference being held by a first term President who has inherited two wars and a horrible economy (along with a host of other issues). Instead of parroting the rhetoric that you've heard from some talking head on the radio, try doing some research on what and how Obama is trying to fix the problems that we all see in this country and in the world.
But that would be asking too much from the populace in this day and age. American politics has been swirling around the toilet for about for about forty years now, thanks to divisive identity politics, mudslinging, and other nonsense. Heaven forbid someone actually rise above all that nonsense (again, thank you to the one other poster on this thread who is capable of doing so) and try to evaluate things with a level head.
EDIT: The "Other Poster" is danfraz. Credit where it it due, and all.
