Official poster was released. Some think a teaser will be attached to next week’s Jurassic World release.

I am a very big C. N. fan.

I’m calling it now…..this will be his best film yet.

The story of The Odyssey (like The Lord of the Rings) is the definition of the word “Epic”

Love, hate, comedy, war, “real” horror, life …….

You and me both. I’ve been asking for a big screen adaptation for years but I never expected Nolan to be the one that finally delivers it.

I can’t remember a year so stacked with upcoming releases. We are in for a treat:

Project Hail Mary (best audiobook experience I’ve ever had)
The Odyssey
Dune Messiah
Spielberg’s UFO movie
Doomsday

Honorable mentions: 28 Years Later: Bone Temple, Mando and Grogu

Interesting that Nolan was supposed to direct Troy originally but turned it down to film Batman Begins.

Yeah this is going to be incredible.

Defy the Gods? Doesn't sound like they're sticking too close to the source material. Odysseus, all of the Greeks really, was pretty devout in his faith in the Gods.

Since William Hurt passed, Ralph Fiennes looks more and more like him every minute.

I love Damon. Period pieces of the distant past aren’t his forte. He was extremely mediocre in Last Duel.
I thought he was terrible as the young lieutenant in Geronimo: An American Legend (1993). Also thought his Texas Ranger portrayal in True Grit (2010) made Glen Campbell's portrayal of the same character in 1969 look like Lawrence Olivier.
