Agreed. The show is not that funny to me. It's not even really a comedy, it's a show about relationships and human emotions.

That's too bad because it has an incredibly stupid premise. Why would anyone hire an American football coach to be the coach of a English Premier League Club? Do they have some kind of Major League plot device where the owner is trying to tank the season?

You nailed it. The “stupid“ premise is executed very well. A feel good show that I look forward to every week.

Its actually incredible but this show is getting better and turning into a real drama.

The latest episode is pretty heart wrenching. It's the best show of the summer.

Another great episode this morning. Amazing how soccer is just a background piece to the show about a soccer team.
Dammit I love this fricking show.

The soccer was way more henning featured in the first few episodes and now it's basically just a plot device for the setting. Pretty amazing how fast the show has evolved in such a short time. I just wish all of the epiosdes dropped at the same time.

One of the best shows I’ve seen in a while if I’m being honest. I had only a slapstick comedy bit expectation but it truly has great appeal to it. Best part is I’ve yet to hear or see any political bullshite or agenda that other shows have started shoving in our faces. It’s a refreshing change of pace!

JS absolutely crushes his role as Ted Lasso. Can’t help but want nothing for the best for him especially with what he’s going through. Glad Sassy Smurf gave him a surprise visit haha.

Nate the Greats scene pregame was amazing and Roy’s character is awesome!

It's such a refreshing show that's full of positivity and emotion and it just kind of revolves around the human condition and relationships.

More shows should take note. I think it's the best show currently on any platform.

My wife has continued to say she hates it. We had a couple of friends over last night for movie/dinner night and I talked them into giving it a try. My wife did everything she could to not have them see it and they both loved it and we blew through 5 episodes.

Not liking it because it doesn’t do it for her is one thing, but to HATE this show seems odd. What does she hate about it?

she's stubborn. she watched part of the first episode where it was silly so now it is just a stupid, silly comedy that she hates even though the show quickly evolved past that.

I have only watched the first three episodes but it was really good. I’m definitely looking forward to continuing it. I was surprised at how much heart it had. Ted Lasso being such a wholesome guy is what I love the most about it.

About halfway through the first season, very positive and uplifting show. Took me a minute to warm up to it but I'm glad I did.

I keep forgetting that these episodes drop on Thursday night. I really wish Apple would use the Netflix approach and drop all woodshed at once.

I plowed through the first 6 episodes all in one day and now feel deprived. Watching the show as an 5 hour movie just gets you more immersed.

I can’t believe this show is good.

Wow.

It’s one of the most enjoyable shows I’ve seen in a good while, too.

Count me as somebody who was expecting nothing and I absolutely love this show. I love English "football" and cracked up at the Ted Lasso commercials. I immediately loved the American in England vibe and the show has shown so much more depth then I ever imagined. If done correctly this could be a really good series that has some legs with endless story lines.

So basically they took a character they made for a commercial and turned it into a TV show?

Yes, and it is way better than it honestly has any right to be based on that premise.

I put it on two nights ago and burned through the first 6 episodes. I was very surprised how enjoyable it was. I planned to finish it last night before the debate, not realizing the last episode hadn't dropped yet.

It's funny, not hilarious, but so damn charming and uplifting. I can't help feeling Dani Rojas happy while watching.

I thought my fiancee was the same. She was disinterested and on her laptop, not paying attention. A few episodes in I caught her chuckling a few times, then she burst out laughing at Dani Rojas first appearance.

It seemed dumb at first but it got through to her.
