The academy did mention the great Hollywood actor Michael Jackson though. Have to give them kudos for that.

It's more odd than anything.

I understand that they can't mention everyone but to leave off 3 big names in Fawcett, McMahon and Arthur is just strange.

Yeah, the Oscars had no time for Farrah, Ed or Bea but they had to show all the liberal Jew writers who nobody cared about.

What does being liberal or Jewish have to do with their accomplishments and additions to film? Just because you didn't know them doesn't mean they weren't skilled veterans of their trade. (does not apply to Brittany Murphy)

I disagree, while not in any "major" movies...You would be hard pressed to find a bigger star in her time....
