Yeah, horrible movies just fall arse backwards into a 91 rating and critical acclaim.

Critical acclaim doesn't necessarily translate into movies viewers enjoy. My wife thought it was worse than I did.

Talk about a snowflake drama queen. I swear you people don't understand satire films/tv shows.

Didn't someone post this on the OT and people freaked out over this being a "Netflix Original".

I've never seen this movie, but bad movies get good ratings and critical acclaim all the time

Well since this happens all the time you shouldn't have any problem rattling off a whole laundry list of films.

Well that's unfortunate. I can't wait for Stranger Things Season 2.

As for the OP, I'll never watch it since it's just not my thing. But Netflix serves a pretty large swath of people from different backgrounds and political ideologies so I'm not going to get asshurt if it they produce content that covers the board. If it's not any good, it won't stay around long anyway since they have a shorter leash for shitty original content.

The movie may have been. Based on the trailer, I have a hard time believing that the show will follow suit.

Especially when this is the guy responsible for writing the show -

That guy's timeline gave me cancer. I was probably never going to watch this show anyway, but that's really disappointing

I dint plan on watching it anyways after that preachy douchebag.

And to the others, you do the have to be a snowflake to make a decision to stop supporting something because of content like this. If I were burning a Starbucks down, you'd have a point.

Someone should make a movie about black railroad worker turned sheriff in the old west.

I think all the white people freaking out over this is funny. Republicans calling democrats snowflakes and calling them out on boycotts but they are doing the same thing being hypocrites by being offended by the title "dear white people" cancelling Netflix. I am a conservative but I am not closed minded. If people can get pass the title "dear white people" and watch the movie I think they would have a different opinion of the movie. If Netflix makes the series like the movie I think people would like it and I enjoyed the movie. If you don't like it or offended by the title then just don't watch it instead of cancelling and boycotting Netflix.

Lol white people don't give a frick about shite like this. The worst that is going to happen is some internet bitching and a few cancelled subscriptions.

Ain't nobody fixing to riot over this shite.

Why would white people want to make fun of other races in the first place? That's a pretty shitty thing to do. Don't get all bent out of shape because you think other races hate white people. Laugh at them and let them know it doesn't faze you, it will make them even more angry.
