I get more angry with each episode it seems. Such fricked up shite. frick that county.

IOW, it was preposterous even then...but unfortunately for SA, it now no longer meets the explicit minimum standard set forth by Wiscy law.
The moment you knew the FBI guy was full of crap was when he testified to the evidence of lack of tampering in the blood he didn't even test. That's not science, that's alchemy. But jurors get wide eyed over FBI guys doing a forensic test, and don't even pay attention to how faulty the test is.

What was in it for the FBI guy to say something so transparently stupid and dishonest? I mean, literally giving an opinion on an untested sample.

Please don't allow yourself to believe it's limited to one county in Wisconsin.

Oh I know it happens elsewhere. But frick that county. frick that Kratz POS.

I maintain that all of the little guy bad actors are to be expected, but the judges and other higher-ups should really be placed under scrutiny.

Did everyone read Avery thinks his brothers did it and set him up? They both have bad sexual assault pasts.

The arrogance of knowing that the jury will believe anything you say. It's intoxicating, and nothing was in place to stop him from asserting his own bad-assery.

Just seems crazy that some podunk county calls the FBI and this guy is willing on short notice to swoop in, defend a poorly executed test AND make shite up about samples he didn't even test. There has to be more to it than this. Or maybe there doesn't. FML

I'd love to know if it was possible to subpoena Colburn's phone records, and if he placed any other calls around the time of calling in the license plate. That could be telling.
ETA: Just saw this. Perhaps the biggest mystery of all.

The prosecution lawyers talking so confidently about the scientific testing is infuriating. Im surprised the media members took any of their words, because they are just linguists trying to build a narrative, not trying to find the truth.

Awesome documentary. I have 3 left.

I'm on episode 4.
The kid is very timid and obviously they're influencing him, I don't think so far he's said anything that came from him. Only has agreed to their suggestions of what happened.
Mom: You're going to go to prison
Brendan: yeah
Mom: for the rest of your life, for something that's not even true
Brendan: yeah
I'm not sure wtf happened, but I'm not sold on the framing...how many people would have to be in on that?

One, two at the most.

I could see one or two. But the way the evidence is seems like if it were a framing there'd be more people involved....which wouldn't work because someone would end up fricking it up. And these people don't seem smart enough to pull that off.

I mean, how would you or everyone else that keeps saying this even know? I'm confident in saying that I doubt you know what it takes to frame someone.

I think it's most likely that someone killed her near the property, then investigators assumed Avery did it and made sure they'd get a conviction that couldn't be questioned this time. Every piece of evidence is at least suspect. I'd say they weren't as smart as you imply they'd need to be.

I don't think you have any idea. Ever framed someone? Ever framed someone under the circumstances of a murder ?
That's just a leap in logic like everything else. It's just a jump to this or that.

What do you guys think about some of the articles out there highlighting (possibly) damning things the documentary allegedly missed?
