Found this article online with the two sides of the case reacting to the series:
LINK
The prosecutors of course claim they didn't tell their side of the story while the defense lawyer Buting claims it presented an accurate depiction of the events.

Got to love when they are complaining about not getting to tell there side of the story as they are being interviewed from a major news outlet... Sounds like a great opportunity to tell your side of the story.

Interesting reddit post on alternate suspects Defense was not allowed to bring up. Contains links to PDFs of Steven's 2009 request for new trial which was denied by the same judge that sentenced him. Interesting stuff starts on the last few pages of the 1st link then continues to the 2nd.

WHOA. BOMBSHELL. Check out this interview with Brendan from February (before the "big" interviews the first week of March).
I don't think much of this got used in the documentary because it LOOKS VERY BAD FOR STEVEN AVERY.
ETA:
So maybe they find the bloody Rav4 on his property... but no body, no murder weapon and the key is still in it. There is no evidence anywhere in the house because it didn't happen in the house. The police find the remains of her burned body but can't find the knife (probably smelted)... So the cops plant the blood, a fragment of burned/shot skull from some other evidence box and the key in Steven's house during the week it's on lockdown.
ETA2:
He could also be covering for his brother/stepdad and saying it was Steven (his immediate family members had more violent history that Steven did).
ETA3:
Makes the whole fact that Brendan is in jail for life even more dispicable. I think the cops/state were worried that their only eyewitness was based on the word of a kid whose story contradicted the evidence they had planted.

I fully believe that reddit will pull this thing apart and uncover the truth. There are too many smart, obsessed people that crowd source information for secrets to stay hidden.
Tdings alone beings up 20+ issues with the case... And we are just casual observers. This show has been out for like 72 hours... Can't wait to see what happens.

Remember how the mom talked about making all the packages for 60 minutes, etc. for Steves first conviction and no one paid attention... Now she has an entire documentary on him and the power of the Internet community. Something ironic in there

So Steve knifed her in the stomach in the RAV4.
DA should have went with this story to the media.
They said he slit her throat in the trailer then put her in the Jeep, then burned her. Oh and shot her twice in the garage.

There are almost an uncountable amount of inconsistencies presented in the documentary that give me no doubt at least SOMETHING wasn't as it seemed. At the same time I have no doubt we saw a mere fraction of what was actually presented to the jury.
The defense attorney's themselves laid out what they needed to happen with regards to the key and the vial with regards to how the DA would play it. Unless I completely missed something nothing was ever shown in regards to those two items during the trial. The vial was clearly tampered with and the key had no other DNA other than Avery's...what are we missing? If those were such big hitting pieces of evidence why did we see no resolution during the trial.
Also, how did we not see anything in EITHER trial (Avery/Dassel) on how there is ZERO trace of blood in the bedroom?
Did I just miss all this and how ridiculous important they made this stuff seem?

There had to have been more blood in the RAV4 if this happened.
There was some in the back, but not nearly enough IMO.

I'm currently watching episode 9, this mess is absolutely depressing. Total injustice and lack of competence from people in that area. They sat back and allowed this department to railroad these half wits.

Yeah, but at least they found blood in the Jeep, although in the back.
No blood on the sheets, ok maybe he burned the sheets. But none seeped into the mattress?
Why not show the two different Brennan's interviews in the doc? He said he, Steve, killed her two different ways.

I agree, it was really good but the doc didn't follow up / show how the key played in the trial. And they said that was the KEY to what really happened.

I'm 4 shows in. Regardless of the truth or what happens, the shite is crazy.

Len Kanchensky and his Investigator, Ken Kratz, Judge Willis, The two corrupt cops and the other two corrupt investigators. May they forever rot in hell. This is so messed up. What they did to the Brendon kid is despicable.

I also could not stand Teresa Halbachs brother. I know he lost his sister but my god what an idiot
Posted on 12/22/15 at 6:55 pm to SlowEasyConfident
I did a marathon Saturday and then finished it last night. My head is spinning with how awful it all is.
SPOILERS:
I too cannot believe the idiots put that kid away with no evidence! If they did kill her the way he "confessed" that they did, how is there ZERO DNA in the house? No blood, no semen, no hair? bullshite!
I think the step dad did it.

Good god..............
Just hit the closing arguments. The DA just said it doesn't matter if the police planted evidence to help convict a guilty man.

Pretty much. Ken kantz seems like a scumbag. No way he should of been convicted based on the evidence
