I keep seeing about this. Going to get the SO to start it with me tonight.

SPOILERS
I think an alternate suspect would be Brendan's stepdad. Dude seemed shady and his story kept changing. He was also quick to point the finger at Steven...just a thought.

Just got to the part where they found the blood tube that was no longer sealed and the top punctured. After knowing there were no prints from Avery in the car but only blood.
What in the frick.
Hope this get the West Memphis 3 and Serial treatment to help this guy out.

I'm on episode 7 right now, still haven't decided if I think he's guilty or not yet.
It's difficult to tell considering the Doc feels extremely slanted with his attorneys and portraying the State's vendetta as "sort of fact" - when we really don't know.

I think in retrospect the detective wished he had just kept the tube of blood and thrown it away, that was seriously suspect.
He could have just returned the evidence box empty... scotched taped shut

I completely agree... but I don't think he was anywhere in the area at the time - Brendan being alone after school and all.

Spoilers:
To me, the most ridiculous part that keeps sticking out in my mind is when they play the recording of Sgt. Andrew Colborn asking dispatch to look up a license plate that turns out to be Teresa's car 3 days before it's reported found. I think someone else killed her, maybe the ex-bf, and left her in the car on the side of the road somewhere. Sgt. Andrew Colborn found the car, incinerated her, threw her in Avery's burn pit, and parked the car on his lot. All while the entire compound was on lockdown by the cops, and the family was at their hunting cabin.
I hope something comes of this as more people watch this series.

Shady shite that I haven't figured out through six episodes:
Deleting voicemails and even listening to another person's is weird and feels like something that could be traced.
No blood bath being found anywhere near Avery's place. No knife. No gun. A random bullet with questionable DNA on it. Those .22 buckets are extremely fragile so I am shocked it went through a skull and stayed in one piece. No knife found. No DNA evidence of the victim except for the bullet. The officer knew the car make and model when there was no way that should have been possible.
If I am on that jury, then he walks FOR REASONABLE DOUBT. How can one not reasonably conclude that he might not have killed her when there are question marks on every thing in the case?
I'm excited to finish this...
One or more cops are definitely in on this. The blood vile makes me very confident of this. Speaking of which, why can't they pull surveillance footage from when Avery's evidence was last looked at by the police? This feels like something that would be under right security.
Holes everywhere and there is no way I can reasonably conclude Steve did it.
ETA: This is the type of thing reddit and 4chan go HAM about. They are going to uncover so much.
Props to the folks that filmed this documentary... A DECADE of their life for this story is nuts.

Reddit will have a field day with this.
I still can't get over how Brennan got involved with this. He was interviewed the day of the murder, cleared, and then 4 months goes by and he is pulled from school??
Even if the cops had framed him, there is no way they could have known Brennan would come forward with this story. I think Steve walks had it not been for Brennan. But then again, the whole family is incredibly dumb, maybe the police were banking on them doing something stupid.

The blows my mind too. If he slits her throat, drags her out to the garage and then shoots her in the head, how in the hell is there not one shred of her blood or DNA anywhere in the house or garage other than the one bullet.
I also don't see how the blood in the SUV proves anything. I mean why the hell would her put her in the car if he killed her in the house/garage and then burned her body right outside his bedroom window? How does that make any damn sense?

The interrogations with the 16yr old were brutal.
I have no clue how that shite was even allowed to be presented.
Its so bad that people would roll their eyes at it being unbelievable if they saw it in a movie.

I was actually GLAD it got presented...because it was SO over-the-top bad. I just can't believe 12 jurors were too stupid/stilted to see it for what it was.

Yeah maybe there is more to Brennan than the doc shows but they portray him as seriously retarded. Like you cannot believe anything he says much less use it in court.
Basically they badgered a learning disabled person for 3hours until he decided to respond "yes" to everything they asked him.

Did yall see the garage where she was apparently killed. It was cluttered with shite. If she was brutally murdered blood would have been on something. No way two basically mentally challenged people could have cleaned that up.
And if we take that as fact. These masterminds that cleaned up after the fact just leave the car on the property?
Lol. Yeah. Right.

Yeah they have a fricking CAR CRUSHER on site, but would choose to just cover the car with a couple tree branches. Makes total sense bruh

Hopefully there is a response to the documentary from someone on the other side of this. I'd love to hear what we are apparently missing in this case. There are just so many things that don't come close to adding up.
The Manitowoc PD is going to be crucified for this. I imagine they will have to put out some kind of response or show the documentary was incorrect.
