I'm sure it's going to be excellent.

If this clip is any indication, it will be funny.

I like Pete Davidson's bit about Louis. When Louis kept giving him shite for being a pothead non stop. Then when CK got in trouble for forcing people to watch him beat off it was like the greatest moment ever, because he knew he could never be told shite by him again.

Not watching it on principle alone. He has a major case of TDS. When he got metooed, he had a lame excuse about not knowing what power he held over those women, which is BS because that is why he knew he could do it without anyone saying anything. At least own up and say you have a problem and that you are going to seek help. Everyone loves a comeback story as long as you take ownership of the issue.

But if you enjoy watching him, go for it.

I mean he's funny but he's just another "entertainer" that grew up watching himself in the mirror, performing to a an audience of puppets, and doing creepy shite in his room by himself.

Yes.

Then he cries afterwards.

Ah, art imitating life I see.

Must have been hard to come out on stage and face an audience once the hitch in his get-a-long got found out.

Haven’t watched him since he stole my masturbating in public idea.

It would still be funnier than 80% of the other comics out there.

Will there be that many people that spend $10 to watch a standup special? Seems like that would be a hard way to go even for the top stand ups

He'd sold other specials on his website for less than that, even before his career backlash, so I'm sure he's making enough scratch from them.

Bought and downloaded it, hope to watch it sometime this week.

Kind of crazy when there are more standup specials on Netflix than I'll ever catch up with. Of course, a victim of MeToo probably doesn't have any other options. I'm sure there are hardcore fans who'll buy it though. I mean, people used to buy comedy dvd's before streaming came along.

This is what he said shortly after releasing a special on his website in 2011:

The experiment was: if I put out a brand new standup special at a drastically low price ($5) and make it as easy as possible to buy, download and enjoy, free of any restrictions, will everyone just go and steal it? Will they pay for it? And how much money can be made by an individual in this manner?

The show went on sale at noon on Saturday, December 10th. 12 hours later, we had over 50,000 purchases and had earned $250,000, breaking even on the cost of production and website. As of Today, we’ve sold over 110,000 copies for a total of over $500,000. Minus some money for PayPal charges etc, I have a profit around $200,000 (after taxes $75.58). This is less than I would have been paid by a large company to simply perform the show and let them sell it to you, but they would have charged you about $20 for the video. They would have given you an encrypted and regionally restricted video of limited value, and they would have owned your private information for their own use. They would have withheld international availability indefinitely. This way, you only paid $5, you can use the video any way you want, and you can watch it in Dublin, whatever the city is in Belgium, or Dubai. I got paid nice, and I still own the video (as do you). You never have to join anything, and you never have to hear from us again.

IDK what kind of sales his new special will make, but everyone on his email list got informed of it as soon as it dropped, other comedians have been giving it a push, many of the self-righteous news & entertainment sites have done their part unwittingly promoting it, plus it's $10 instead of $5 now. Might be a tougher option for a unknown comedian, but of course he doesn't fall into that category...

I just watched This. It’s better than Sincerely. Feels more like classic Louis, and you can tell he’s back in the groove.
