I'm pretty critical of comedies these days, and I think that the vast majority of them try way too hard, and suck. but I enjoyed Hubie, and thought it was a fun movie. Of course it was dumb as shite, but it was a comedy, it's perfectly fine for it to be dumb. I will even watch it again because I like Halloween movies.

I enjoyed the movie. Is it corny? Yes, but it is an Adam Sandler movie. I like majority of his movies. I like how there was quick one liners or character references from his older movies.

Turn off your brain and learn to enjoy the stupid shite.
Movies aren't "art", movies are visual ENTERTAINMENT, nothing more.

Why? If it’s enjoyable to you then by all means consume the content and don’t feel bad about it. It’s entertainment and everyone will differ in what stimulates them for that. But conversely, there’s also nothing wrong with you if you find no enjoyment in this type of humor/entertainment.

I agree with you that this movie isn’t for everyone. My wife hates most comedies I enjoy because she thinks my sense of humor is stupid. So she won’t watch them with me. If you know you don’t like a type of movie don’t watch it and then shite on how stupid you thought it was when you knew before hand you probably wouldn’t like it.

Just finished and enjoyed it. Had a lot of good one liners. The bits about the fake canadian gf cracked me up.

It’s the best Sandler movie in a while. I know that’s a low bar, but that’s my opinion anyway.

I thought it was a cute movie. But i love halloween and it had the billy madison/waterboy humor. Plus i liked all the recognizable faces that he has had in previous movies of his. It was light hearted fun!

This could have been an average, fun Halloween movie if Sandler wouldn’t have done the goofy voice. I don’t know why he went that direction but it was awful.
