Netflix: Hubie Halloween

A Happy Madison Production.
I was not aware of this at the time but apparently after his performance in “Uncut Gems” was snubbed, Adam Sandler promised to make the worse movie ever.
LINK
I don’t know if Hubie Halloween is that, but it’s a solid effort.
The best way I can describe this movie is remember the guy in Billy Madison (a funny Sandler movie) that told him his response was one of the most idiotic things he’s ever heard and that everyone is now dumber for having listened to it?
That’s this movie.
I laughed twice: there’s a radio DJ whose voice is heard throughout the movie, serving as a narrator of sorts. When it’s revealed who it is, that was kinda funny. And Maya Rudolph has one funny line.
And that’s it.
Watch for the cringe factor and nothing else.

Not a Sandler movie, but the recent David Spade one, that was a Happy Madison production, was pretty funny. Lauren Lapkus was good in it.

So it's funnier than Grown Ups 2?

Amazed at the sheer number of actors I recognized in this movie.

I thought it was stupid. Like you, I had a couple of short laughs, but meh. It seemed like there were a lot of forced immature jokes only teenage boys would find funny. Skip it

I thought it was much better than expected.

biggest surprised was seeing Ben Stiller as the same character he played in Happy Gilmore at the beginning.

Not ashamed to say I laughed throughout this entire dumb arse movie.

And then you see Julie Bowen right after.

This movie was a blast. The first time that I heard him speak, and then when I saw him projectile vomit in the first like three minutes of the movie, I face palmed and was like oh my God. But then by the scene where he goes and talks to children at a school about Halloween safety, I was full on laughing at all the ridiculous stuff. If you go in expecting that this movie is going to be stupid as hell I think you’ll have a good time. His ridiculous voice and some funny quips are going to really make you laugh

One was great because it was old school Sandler (100% Fresh). A couple have been good (murder mystery, Wrong missy,). Most have been borderline enjoyable but watchable (rediculous 6, the do over, sandy Wexler, the week of). Only one i actually regretted watching was father of the year.
Which if we are being honest his netflix deal completely exceeded my expectations which were that everything would be a dumpster fire.
Edit: follow up I thought The Kevin James movie "true memoirs of an international assassin" was a happy madison movie. Turns out it wasn't but it would have went in the borderline enjoyable/watchable catagory

It wasn’t good but it also wasn’t bad. I enjoyed it for what it is and had fun watching it. If you went into this movie expecting something great then that’s on you. Just don’t take it seriously and it’s enjoyable.

Sadly no... His real wife is dressed up as Harley Quinn though?

As far as Sandler movies go, it’s actually decent.

Watching it now.. I've had some good laughs so far..
My expectations of his movies remain low that way in pleasantly surprised every once in a while..
Still, my favorite movies of his that are fairly recent are Blended and Just Go with it..
Just got to the Shaq scene... Lmao
