I went to see it today on high recommendation. The acting was award worthy in my opinion but I wasn’t as moved as my friend by the film. It is thought provoking for sure. It was certainly anti abortion and certainly against electric chair executions

Everything is that to them if its not bat shite crazy looney-bin Hollywood.
I mean if a wife makes a Sammich in a movie, the press will say its putting women back 100 years...
And call it a culinary diaspora.

These two issues are very interesting. Talk about a nuance discussion if we ensure church and state are separate. Is that even possible with some?
I believe being executed is a far much easier punishment than life in prison. I base that on my understanding that the life in prison experience being hell.

That movie looks terrible.
Well, it's definitely no "Moonlight", so I can see how its appeal is lost on you.

Devils advocate but why do we always prop up audience scores to fit our narrative on how good it really is but I just read 3 pages on how not to believe the audience scores on Little Mermaid because they are always fake. Not to mention it’s 35% higher on critics score too.

Actually, it is a great movie. Very thought provoking. The creators achieved exactly what they intended.

I just watched it for the first time and I agree. Thought it was a good thriller.

Yep looked at what happened to Sounds of Freedom.

Rich that the guy calls out anything for being 'preachy' seeing as how mainstream Hollywood has become a shrill, intersectional clown college of degenerate criminals.
It really doesn't look that great, though. I'll check it out on streaming.

Saw it. It was excellent. Fine acting. Creepy. The stark simple sets worked well to establish and convey a subtle, slightly dangerous feeling
Definitely not the cheesy so called “Christian” type of movie that sometimes embarrasses Christians and justifies non-Christians’s snarky knee-jerk criticisms.
Don’t get me wrong, people hostile to Christ and Christianity will always negatively criticize Christian films, good or bad, with predictable trite comments trotted out over and over supported by the always hostile anti-Christian mob hooting and shouting them on.
Nefarious doesn’t give them the easy target to mock. It’s the film’s content, quality, acting, and its raw unvarnished attack upon the Left’s shibboleths that goad them to gnash their teeth and denigrate a good movie.
It goes against the Left’s profane unholy sacrament of abortion hard, the demon himself calling it demonic
The film bluntly speaks the truth about good and evil and because of that the Left hates it, reviles it publicly, even though many of them have never seen it and never will.

Finally watched this film after multiple recommendations from friends.
Had no interest in watching it, but figured I’d give it a try.
It will hold you attention from beginning to end. There is no wasted time or filler. No romance or comedy or bullshite scenes like typical Hollywood garbage.
I wont get philosophical (or theological), but I definitely recommend this movie now. I watched it again the next night just to clarify a few things that were in my mind about it. You might too after watching it.
Flannery should get an Oscar nomination for his acting for this film. But he won’t. Because this film is exactly what the Hollywood cultural elitists fear and despise.

The cultural Marxist Left has controlled the narrative in media and entertainment for 60 years. Now that they are getting the slightest pushback they are absolutely (and sometimes violently) freaking out.

Agree on all points.
I saw a lengthy interview with him. He’s left Hollywood for Texas to protect his family from the corrosive effects of Tinsel Town.
Said, he could handle it and protect himself, but was not going to subject his family to it. Pretty much says he doesn’t give two Hardy shits what Hollywood thinks.
He probably makes decent bank from his Brazilian Jujitsu dojos. He’s apparently a black belt or whatever top dog is in that discipline. Also originally from Lake Charles I believe. Interesting guy.
