it's all covid and social justice. lazy writing just borrowing shite off of the news channels.
one show "The Resident" basically skipped over covid and picked up 6 months after it was in the review mirror. And only addressed it in flashbacks.
most other shows are all about the virus

Exactly. Losing Shalita Grant was a blow. Vanessa Ferlito didn't make a good replacement. Losing Lucas Black was probably the beginning of the end.

Well, it wouldn’t necessarily be the case that al of these characters would be NOLA natives, would it?
These are federal law enforcement officers. As such, once they’ve completed initial training, they can fill any position in the Naval Criminal Investigative Service in the country?

no but, i remember reading that the actor who played LaSalle said that he tried to do a new orleans accent and he wasn't any good at it so, he just used his normal voice.
and not all of them are federal agents. the ME, the mayor...

Met this dude at a show at the Joy Theatre one night. It really was like talking to the actual character, he's basically being himself on the show. Mentioned that Bakula used to fly back and forth to LA every weekend because he had a teenage daughter in high school. I found that interesting, but he is the main draw of the show.
Sad to see the show go, but it is probably time (as others have said).
