After reading the last few pages I'm stunned the hate for Tess and the love for JL.
FWIW, I dislike both of them.
If Tessanne wins I will not be happy with the show.

It's more curious to me why Will would go on the show in the first place and agree to their terrible contract terms given the contacts he would already have in the industry.
Exposure, man. That's it.
I've thought about it before, and I wonder sometimes if people just try to make the top whatever (10, 8, 4?) just for the exposure, and then sort of try to lose (or at least not put forth their best effort). I imagine if you win, you may likely have to sign with someone associated with the show/network, and likely with a fairly shite contract I'd guess. Sort of like how, IIRC, winners of AI always had to sign with Simon Cowell's label or whatever (someone can correct me on that if I'm wrong...I've never watched AI).
So someone like Tony Lucca can get exposure and then leave the show and sign with Adam's label. I imagine something similar will happen with Cole, and a lot of the finalists.
Note: Although looking at Danielle Bradbury, she signed with Big Machine Records the day after the won the show, and they don't seem to be associated with the show or the network at all. So maybe I'm wrong on this..

I don't think the prize for winning the Voice is a record contract like it is on Idol.

It used to be Sony records... not sure how they are affiliated. And with the management company that was associated with the show.
I think the record companies had right of first refusal for even the non-winners. They probably do on The Voice as well.

I'm dying for you to hear Alex and Sierra.

If you just watched Alex and Sierra, you'd know. Brought me to tears just now.
I watched the video you linked on here a few weeks back and made a heavily sarcastic commentary on what I thought about their abilities but no one got it. Other than the other acts in the first video, who were truly terrible (ie, white cap guy, etc, not the duo you like). Too many things associated/inherent with that show that are non-starters for me to watch it and wife can't stand it either. Not casting stones at those that want to watch it, but it won't be me.

Javier and Cassaddee had been fairly successful before The Voice as well... I guess you just can't underestimate the exposure that being on the show gives them.
I was surprised to learn that Javier was in the Derek Trucks Band for a few years. Apparently he already is out of the record deal from the Voice. Classic example of a talented guy who can't figure out what he wants to do or if it really is the music he released after the Voice I don't get it and apparently neither do others. Wife thought it was OK, I was like nah, that music is not my thing. He is very personable and engaging with an audience, really don't think he is an a-hole IRL.
I don't get the Cassadee psuedo-labeling as country either. Listening to snippets of her recent release it sounds like pure pop rock to me, maybe with some southern inflections, yet she shows up on CMT literature as one of the upcoming country acts to watch for, etc. Whatevs, guess Blake trying to help her out.

Look up his history. It's hardly amateur-ish. Songwriting credits on a Grammy winning album. Toured with Glenn Frey of the Eagles. Worked on Michael Jackson's last album.
This is one reason I'm rooting for Jacquie in the final. She is truly an amateur going up against 2 people with extensive careers in the industry. The screaming is irritating, and Christina is awful, but I feel like she is the contestant most consistent with what I feel the show should be.
My recollection from S-1 was the show was focused on singers in their 20's on up that had ability and had kicked around in the industry with no sustained success and that the show could help them.
I do not recall it ever be about 'teens, which is one reason I don't watch the other shows and how they exploit young kids that shouldn't be put in that place. That's one reason I am not a big JL fan. If she showed up at 20 she would likely kill it, not that she won't with good training and mentoring as is.

A&S are #1 and 9 on itunes. Gutt is also in the top 10.

Not true. I do and hat does.
ETA: Currently, A&S have 6 songs in the top 100 on itunes with 2 of them in the top 10. No Voice folks close to them.

There were some younger folks who were very good. One came in 5th and she had a pretty powerful voice. One went home too early and she was awesome. Well, two went home too early which was pretty recent. They were 13, 16 and 17. A&S are both 22. XFactor overall has been better than The Voice, for me, this season.
I'm not a big JL fan, though, as you know. I think she screams too much, but I also think that's Christina's fault. Hopefully, someone else will work with her. She's got a great voice.
I like A&S more than anyone who is on The Voice now or this entire season, even Cole. They're probably the most unique and enjoyable contestants I've seen on any of the 3 shows I've watched over the years. They have 6 songs in the top 100 for a reason. Jacquie has zero right now, I believe.

The link is to Jonny Lang when he was 17 playing "Walking Away", not Jacquie Lee. Talent, and he did not need a reality show to become successful.
I watched roughly the first third of S-1 of X and couldn't handle it. Watched about 5 minutes this season and it just turns me off the way that show is developed & produced. If the judge commentary continues on the Voice in the same vein as the latter part of this season I might be moving on, too. Realism is a good thing, false pumping to win is another and it really escalated this season.

Will having a father in a group that was very popular 30-years ago has no bearing on whether he has ability, either.
I didn't say anything about who his father was would have bearing on his talent or ability...but one would think his father would have contacts to help him get recognized and started in the business if he was truly talented enough.

The judging on The Voice this year has been very strange. Rarely a criticism and though there have been good contestants, there have been plenty of opportunities for constructive criticism. I'm not looking for folks to go overboard. Just be reasonable. This season has been a love fest.
I watch Idol and I'm anxious to see what this group of judges does.
I can understand you not liking the set up shows. I don't like it in most of them. My beef with most of these shows is that it's not the BEST that get into the live shows because they come down to the best on each team on The Voice, the best 12 girls and 12 guys on AI and the best of 4 categories on XFactor. I can deal with age and group categories because they make more sense, but not gender categories and I'm not crazy about the elimination process on The Voice, though the judges have ways to save some good folks. AI is the worst for me. Last year, the boys were really weak compared to the girls, so many really good girls went home in favor of a bunch of average boys.
Once America starts voting, I think that should be the end of it. No saves or sing offs or twitter voting. Just let it be.
Didn't watch. I thought it was Jacquie. There are plenty of folks who don't need a show to be successful, but I like watching the shows, so I'm not sure what the point is to compare someone who became successful on his own.
A&S developed over the season, but I do love the Gravity rendition.

I listened to the iTunes snippet, can hear why you like them. Saw another guy on there with Hallelujah. A lot of people seem to think Jeff Buckley is responsible for "H" when it is Leonard Cohen the world has to thank for that, even recall Christina and Adam bringing JB's name up this season. His version of the song was popularized, but it's not his.
The saves are the best thing that happened on the Voice the last two seasons, makes up for the knockout deficiencies especially when the song doesn't fit a contestant and they have to sing anyway. Wife watches AI, I recall her being PO'd and making comments about two guys getting sent home way before their time last year, one may have been from LA. I might watch some early on since NM is gone, but overall it doesn't do anything for me. They had to have gotten something right for it to be around this long. Too many singing shows now, has become CSI x 10 versions, etc.
The thing I did enjoy this season was the paucity of country singers, that can get really old when too many make it IMO. Don't hate country, but it wouldn't make my top 5 genres either.
