I’m old, so I’d say Arnold’s from Happy Days. Or Mel’s Diner from Alice. I’d love to hear Flo tell Mel to kiss her grits.

Well yeah, if there are Hobbit lasses like Sam's gal Rosie serving the ale!

I’ve been craving one of these Cubans sandwiches for a couple of days. If Sofia Vergara served it, that would be nice too.

Louie’s Italian Restaurant from The Godfather

The Green Dragon is far superior to the Prancing Pony. Even with its pints! Bree is a shithole of a place, full of crooks & cutthroats and criminals. Butterbur is decent enough, but his bar is a bit of a dump.

"Welcome to Good Burger, home of the good burger, can I take your order!?"

Yeah, but my old watering hole was Our Place in Central. It was the rich tapestry of humanity frequenting that lost treasure of a pub which gave it its character and personality. Some there, in one way or the other, may have been cutthroats, crooks or criminals. There may even have been a pirate or two there looking to pass the Black Spot. To a person they were all good companions to share a story and a drink or two.
There are distinct similarities between Our Place and The Prancing Pony and maybe between Central and Bree by your way of reckoning. The Green Dragon is fine but I prefer a pub like The Prancing Pony, The Spouter Inn, or Our Place.
The possible exception to the similarities between Our Place and The Prancing Pony being the Friday Night Karaoke at Our Place’s in its glory days.
I say possible exception because nobody, insofar as I’m aware, ever fell on the floor at Our Place, accidentally slipped a magic ring on their finger and disappeared. However, one of the guys I was there with one Friday evening got a little deep in his cups. While singing the chorus of the karaoke tune then being sung by some brave soul, the gent in question fell off one of the high stools around the round tables near the bathrooms in the back of Our Place. Whether he was too inebriated to rise or too embarrassed none know-he simply crawled to the men’s bathroom lifted himself by the handle and went inside to presumably relieve himself and regain a modicum of lost dignity. To the rest of the patrons who saw him fall from a distance it looked all the world like he fell and was swallowed up by the floor. We, his friends who saw it up close and knew, fed the mystery with feigned shock and amazement which held up until he re-emerged from the bathroom and wobbled back to his seat at our table as though nothing had happened.
So, if you don’t fully embrace it, you’ll at least understand my affection for The Prancing Pony.

The Chinese food stand where Lee gets the camelshump from in Rush Hour.
Was also gonna say Good Burger.
The diner in Grease looked looked good too.

Definitely The Red Door. But maybe L Street.

I do love how you and I were nerdy enough to recognize that the second picture is from the Green Dragon and not the Prancing Pony.

Some food movies are excruciating. Halfway through Chef, all you want is a Cubano.
Same thing happened with Big Night...the Timpano. There's no way I'd ever find it at a restaurant and no way I'd ever make it even if I binged with Babish...
So it's like this Holy Grail, that distracts from the movie...because like Chef, that's all you start thinking about.
I mean, what the hell is this thing? But you just have to have it.
