No surprise there
I pretty much disagree with everything you said. It's like you went out of your way to find problems with the movie.

I'd give it 3.5 stars. Good steady action.

I thought it was ok, I went in with low expectations and came out neither disappointed or pleasantly surprised. For the fourth film in a summer movie franchise it's pretty good. I agree with the guy who said the acting was really bad, every scene between humans just seemed really awkward. The Dino action was great though. I guess the fifth one will deal with Wu/Ingen's Dinos.

I liked it.
I want to know how they got that 23 year old jeep going with a quad's battery and nothing else.
Though like my fiance pointed out. "In a movie about dinosaurs in a park, escaping and wanting people again, if that's what sticks out to you..."
Great popcorn flick. I like the story. The raptor team up was no where near as cheesy as the trailers made it look. The T-rex at the end was bad arse. I remember in an interview hearing it was the same from the first movie. I was hoping to here a reference to that.
The now dark thinking geneticist from the first movie and his interactions with the InGen guy were annoying. I hated that subplot. The same subplot that drove the Alien franchise. In all honesty... If you could create dinosaurs, you cannot tell me that the military wouldn't look into it.
Unless a pack of raptors with little bombs implanted in their brain on ISIS. Let them get their fill then when done. put them to sleep.
The park looked great. How the hell was that filmed at Jazzland? Maybe just some parts. Lot of CGI, but the dinosaurs looked great. Even the giant sea dinosaur got in the final kill and a human kill. Not too shabby.
I liked it a lot better than I was expecting to. With the trailer I had low expectations and it exceeded them. I would watch it again in theaters.

That's fine, we never agree anyway
And on the contrary, I actually really wanted to like the movie. I even had a few drinks beforehand to loosen me up and make me more receptive to the inevitable cheese. But I just couldn't swallow that pill. Oh well.
Someone pointed out that it wasn't the acting that was bad so much as it was the writing, and while the writing and dialogue were pretty terrible, that's true, many of the lines were just obnoxiously overdelivered and dripping with melodrama. Oh well. It happens.

Writing/Dialogue left something to be desired, but with a relatively new director, thats to be expected.
I think the acting for the most part was pretty good, aside from Hoskins' scenes

I went saw it last night, and I really enjoyed it.
Pratt grows on me every movie I see him in. He's fun to watch his type of roles.
I have a question that kind of bugged me. Did Owen say that the I-Rex was part raptor? If Hoskins and the scientist were working together, why wouldn't Hoskins know that before he sent the raptors out?

He didn't know they could communicate with each other.
And I lol when he said "we're on the same team"

He wanted to see how the raptors interacted with the I Rex. If I'm not mistaken he said imagine a smaller version of the I Rex to use in battle.

I really hated the first half of the movie. Pretty awful IMO. The second half was great. Especially the last 10 minutes. It was like they came up with some really cool ideas for the second half of the movie and came up with some filler for the first half later. My geek censors went on full alert when they released the T-Rex. fricking awesome. Then the fight was really cool. I was like a 10 year old all over again.
I didn't like that the water dinosaur ended the fight, tho. I wanted the T-Rex to win out right, but not a big deal. Anyways, very fricking cool movie overall and I recommend it.
First half: 5/10. Second half: 9/10.

Fun summer movie. Lol at that tourist trying to save his margaritas.
Why did the raptor explode when it was thrown through the window?

Wife and I saw it today, really fun movie. Some of the one liners were cheesy but Pratt totally delivered and you didn't even care about the dialogue.
I loved the homage to the first one like the jeeps, visitor center and stuff. Crazy to see Wuu become this villain scientist based on his character in the first one. Definitely room for a sequel involving him.

Really enjoyed it... Lots of fun. Many nods to the original.

I liked it, didn't love it. I don't think they let Chris Pratt play to his strengths, and I hated the he could control the raptors storyline. If you want a simple cliche villian, why use Dinefario?

I think he was thrown onto a restaurant grill, like a hibachi type thing. Not sure why he combusted though.

I think that may have been one of my favorite parts of the film. I will admit that I was worried about it ahead of time, but they handled it spectacularly. I do not find it inconceivable that a relationship of mutual respect and understanding could be developed between a human and raptors. I enjoyed the relationship and felt something when I thought Blue had died. I enjoyed raptors not being portrayed as villains or monsters.

My wife and I just saw the movie. My concerns on the raptor storyline going were washed away with how it actually panned out. I thought the movie was great, much better than I expected. I thought the weapon angle was far fetched mainly because their Dino's and simpler want to eat, hunt, and well you know......
I thought the climax was great. I got goosebumps when they lured the TRex out for the battle, I thought all the nods to the original were great. I do not agree with the OP about the kid being whiney, I was actually turned off by the older brother, he was annoying. Effects were awesome and looked better than all the films leading to this one. I loved the huge alligatorsaurus and loved how it got the Indominus Rex at the end. Also loved the overkill of the baby sitter. Loved the movie!

Saw it today and liked it a lot, 7.5/10 imo. Not as good as the original but by far the best of the sequels..
