How has the Hobbit Trilogy not been mentioned? Love Tolkien and always told everyone the Hobbit would make a better move ten LOTR, then those turds showed up.

Good point. I was unimpressed enough by The Hobbit to skip the rest. Didn't seem to be remotely in the same league as much older movies.

Overreliance on CGI for sure.

This. Was such a good book, but the movie felt forced and rushed.

I finally watched The Big Lebowski this year (don't know why I'd never gotten around to seeing it). I enjoyed it. It wasn't this be-all, end-all comedic experience but it was a good movie.

I really wanted to like Scott Pilgrim. It is right in my wheelhouse for a variety of reasons, but I just don't like it. I've tried to watch it several times.

Apocalypse Now- I didn’t get it. Motives, point, all of it.
Good scene with the helicopters though.

Chinatown- watched it during a Jack Nicholson man love phase. I was super pumped, then super bored.

I'm with you on Basterds. I wanted so badly to like it and it was so disappointing.

All the fake CGI took me out of those films...Weren't really funny, but the movies were cool

Red Tails for me

The trailer was epic, cgi was pretty good considering it was cgi plus because of the subject matter (Tuskeegee Airmen, Planes, WW2)

But the half arse dialog, and crazy editing where it jumped around or just stitched together incoherently made me so pissed watching this film. George Lucas really let me down. He was producer I think.

Would still watch again, but somebody else couldve done much better

TV show: The Night Of

First episode was absolutely amazing! It carried the show for the first 3-4 episodes but, ultimately, it was a huge flop and a giant smelly turd.
