What would you have done different?

Don't know where to start really.

1) Don't introduce the idea that Jake can get surgery to be able to walk again. Solely because of that I didn't buy his motivation for the rest of the film.

2) Make Jake Sully a miserable ugly sap. Don't have him be a hunk. Hell casting the guy who was in the other Avatar body would have been a much better choice as the main character. Have him as a complete social outcast who has a hard time fitting in with humanity. When he's in his Avatar body, he's in a perfect angelic state and treated with respect, something he isn't given by the humans. In other words turn him into John Locke from LOST.

3) Don't make all the humans a bunch of rednecks and corporate assholes aside from 4 characters. I'd say keep the general roughly the way he is, but make everyone else a great deal more sympathetic. Have maybe the guy in charge be someone who wants to be conscious of the natives feelings, but once he assists Jake behind the scenes or something, the General completely takes over and arrests the corporate guy. Make the general and not humanity in general the bad guy. Also once the general is killed, let the humans stay and they and the Na'vi work together towards peace, with Jake being the main diplomat between them. But instead the message I got from the film is that humanity needs to be completely eradicated from not only Pandora, but really Earth as well. Such a positive message about humanity in general. The only thing at the end I was thinking is that instead of working together towards compromise, the humans are just going to return in like 12 years with a nuclear bomb and nuke that tree. Way to think it through by kicking them off the planet, a-hole.

Just correcting these three things I think would make the film significantly better. It would have however grossed significantly less if they went with my second and third recommendations.

By writing that I think you have to be implying Watchmen was a run of the mill graphic novel.

Idiocracy and Meaning of Life. Both were about 50% great movies with a lot of very mediocre filler. I do like both of them but they could have been a lot better.

The movie wasnt what everybody was wanting it to be but it was a great adaption of the book. Possibly even had a better ending than one of the best novels of all time. Thats hard to do.

The Last Airbender is the correct answer.

Followed by Jaws 3. White shark wreaks havoc at Sea World..... What do we do? I have a frickig idea..... How about you unleash your super-smart, trained, huge, fricking KILLER whale to take care of some business.

You guys are sick of remakes? You'll change your tune when you see Jaws 3 2.... Written and directed by me.

The concept itself should have been far better, but literally everything was fricked from the start. We had M. Night directing it, a completely miscast cast, and it was an hour and a half long. So going into it, everyone knew we were pretty fricked. They will eventually remake this if they're smart and treat the source material completely seriously and put tons of money into it. Little do these executives realize they are quite literally sitting on the next Harry Potter franchise. Seriously, name one source material in the last 5 years that has as much widespread appeal as "Avatar: The Last Airbender"? Plus the fact that they're planning on 4 series of it means it will be heavily profitable for decades to come, and they're only on the second series now.

Let me preface this by saying I really like Casino.

But given the cast and pedigree...I just feel like it should be a better movie. Maybe I'm guilty of too much Goodfellas unjust comparisons.

I don't know...somethings missing from that movie. It looses steam. It's not a tightly told tale.

Eternal Sunshine.

I know a lot of people love that movie, but i think thats because the idea was such a good one. If that movie would have been done a little better it could have been an alltimer.

What a crock of crap.

The whole concept behind the squid was to create a common enemy that the whole planet could unify to fight.

Mr.Blue Dick is immortal. He can do anything. He can't be stopped.

This changes the ending from people being united and hopeful to people being under total domination without hope.

The suicide rate would skyrocket. Doomsday cults would thrive and the planet would not unify together because there is no way to stop Blue Dick.

Or maybe because what I said is fact. The change to the ending destroyed the entire original intent of the graphic novel.
