Only one other person mentioned silver bullet?

I'm fine with paranormal, vampires, clowns, or other bad things. For some reason I just know I'm going to wake up to a big ole nasty werewolf standing over me, and I'm gonna have to kick its arse.

Also, the obvious one is Jaws...still can't get in the ocean to this day without thinking about that shite.

Carrie...that ending.

And Jaws to some degree...I'm not a big fan of going in the ocean.

FTW, Low budget horror movie put on by a friend of my parents involving my uncle and most of the adults i'd met in my life (my parents friends) when I was 6. Everyone died. It was super tame by today's standards, scared the crap out of me for years.

Had I watched all the movies I've never heard of in this thread pretty sure I'd have been wearing a trench coat during my middle school days.

The Exorcist fricked me up to the point where I woke up to my bed shaking one night. I was 13 when I saw it for the first time and have no doubt the shaking be was all in my head but to this day this movie still fricks with my dreams.

Jaws messed me up too. It just makes sense to stay out of the water anyway. Sharks don't come into my house and dig around in my fridge so I extend them the same courtesy.

Nothing fricks with my dreams more than college. Although I long ago graduated, I still dream that I missed an entire class or it's the day of the final and I forgot that I was enrolled in that particular class.

Nothing scares me more than those dreams. I wake up and still spend 5 or so minutes trying to figure out if I actually graduated or not.

Don't know if it has been posted yet and it really isn't a scary movie, but Flatliners.

That was the first time I ever thought about what death really was and I remember being terrified thinking about what will happen after I died, ie Heaven or Hell for all eternity. I was 9, so I was beggining to understand a lot more about things in life.

Casino- I sneakily watched this when I was about 10 and the icepick scene and the scene where pesci and his brother are beaten to death with bats really stuck with me.

And when I was a freshman in highschool we had to watch some Charles Bronson short which showed an actual abortion procedure happening from inside the womb. Catholic education

Raiders of the Lost Ark got me when I was little. I was too young to see it and the scene where they open the Ark and faces melt made me cover my eyes

I saw it again years later and it had a smaller effect on me (I could still feel the echos of that childhood fear)

Alligator - i thought it could really happen.

Whichever living dead had the naked chick walk up to the guy and start eating his brains. I was way to young for that entire scene.

1. "Curse Of The Demon" 1958 Dana Andrews
Scared the six previously digested meals out of me...

2. "All Quiet On The Western Front" 1930
Not a movie for kids when I first saw it in the '70's. But now I watch it every year...

3. "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" 1976
4. "Invaders From Mars" 1952
5. "The Birds" (although now it isn't that scary.)
