Pretty simple here. I mean I certainly never cried during this film but I, uhhh... have a friend who did:

Field of Dreams.

Anyone else?

Two posts and no Saving Private Ryan? Buncha commie figs in here.

I confess to getting a bit choked up at the end of T2. "I know now why you cry, but it is something I cannot do."

Certainly got emotional, but crying? Not really close.

The last lines of Road to Perdition:

I saw then that my father's only fear was that his son would follow the same road. And that was the last time I ever held a gun. People always thought I grew up on a farm. And I guess, in a way, I did. But I lived a lifetime before that, in those six weeks on the road in the winter of 1931. When people ask me if Michael Sullivan was a good man, or if there was just no good in him at all, I always give the same answer. I just tell them... he was my father.

I watched marley and me for the 3rd time last week and weeped like a Saints fan after Hartley missed the extra point today

That's the only movie to get me. I tear up at the end of the Six Feet Under and BoB finales, as well as Futurama's "Luck of the Fryfish" and "Jurassic Bark."

Saving Private Ryan is so cliched that it's hard for me to get too misty eyed over the loss of some stereotyped, cookie cutter character.

That's really the saddest film ever made. There are two types of people: those who agree with me and those who haven't seen Grave of the Fireflies. At least Schindler's List is somewhat uplifting at the end since Schindler saved over 1000 lives and changed for the better, but GotF, none of that. Just depressing as hell.

Agreed. Aside from the (admittedly legendary) opening, that movie was nothing special. A bunch of oscar-baiting crap for 75% of it

The "thumbs up" at the end is what did it for me. Damn that was back when Cameron actually made cool stories.
