This is true. I wanted this movie to be great and I kept telling myself it was good so I wouldn't feel disappointed. Looking back, it did suck.

Can you even begin to imagine how good this movie could have been with Christopher Nolan at the helm?
Gives me chills.

Angels & Demons
The book was incredible. Movie was definitely a few steps down.

Uh.....No.
There is a reason the book only became popular AFTER Brown became famous.

And also the correct opinion.
You're right. People survive all the time from jumping out of a helicopter from 5k feet holding a sheet of plastic over their head.

Dan Brown's work is pure shite. This fact actually tends to help to make a good movie from the material through.
As for movies that could have been great:
-Ridley Scott's Magna Carta movie
-Other side of the coin of X-Men III--Singer's Superman Returns
-Sunshine...best first hour of a sci fi movie since like 2001 turned into a by the book monster movie...
If not great at least not terrible:
-The Black Dalia--if all you did was switch the casting and the back stories of the characters of Aaron Eckhart and Josh Hartnett and this film would have been okay rather than being the complete fricking disaster that it is. How you look at Hartnett and Eckhart and go Hartnett is the guy we want as the leading man, I just will never understand.
