What about that movie Premonition with Sandra Bullock? Not a great movie, but you think the whole point of the movie is so she can prevent her husband from dying... everything is going as planned and then BAM he dies anyway... not only is it a surprising ending but one of the worst also

my girlfreind was pissed cause i knew he was going to die and kept telling her that throughout the movie. When it happened, she called me stupid and said i ruined the movie.

I agree. The end actually made me a little mad.

I've seen other people mention this. What about the ending was so unpredictable? The fact that he escaped and busted the warden? I love the movie and think it was great througout, but I just wouldn't have considered it having some surprise twist ending like 6th Sense, etc.

Gotta add my vote to The Usual Suspects...one of my favorite movies of all time and a classic ending....

ETA: Arlington Road is another good one too....did not see that one coming.

The movie was shite from the moment it was watched, you saved her from seeing the ending, she must really be a twilight fan.

I would say the Departed caught me more off guard than most movies. Was not expecting that to happen that way.

Also, To Live and Die in LA. That one also hit me with an angle I was expecting even less.

I mean given the plot of the departed, you always feel the tension that something could happen to Leo, but I had not idea something was about to happen to Petersen.

If you start to think about it,their was no damn twist, but if their was a twist, the twist would be that he didn't escape and was caught .
