A lot of millennials think that any use of free speech that goes into "forbidden" gray areas is "racist". If a "forbidden" word is used, even in the service of prompting thought, it is "racist". Thus an anti-racist film morphs into a "racist" film in our lifetime. Not saying the OP is this way, just saying that's the illiberal Orwellian trend. The solution to this of course is more free speech using more forbidden words.

Remember the Titans
It's incredibly racist. It portrays white people as being the antagonist bullies to the black people that just wanted a chance in the community, when in reality, the hatred was on both sides and there was no open-mindedness during integration. Neither white, nor black, wanted anything to do with each other.
Throw in the fact that the blacks were the "heroes" in every situation of the movie, and the white people had to basically act like they were "defeated", showed white guilt, and asked for forgiveness and acceptance from the black people.
I'm just a purist, which is why I have a problem with the movie

Wrong Star Wars move. The Phantom Menace's trade federation guys being asian and Jar Jar being black were far, far away more racist.

Soul Plane and I am being serious. It makes black people look sssoooo bad and plays into stereotypes in every negative way you could ever imagine.

Not sure if this is limited to millennials, but the description is generally accurate. It's also how works like Huckleberry Finn can be thought of as racist, despite their core message.

People claim Disney's "Song of the South" is racist as all get go.
You can no longer buy the movie. It's in the vault forever.

It seems like people in this thread are confused at the difference between movies that deal with racial issues and movies that are overtly racist.
Blazing Saddles is not a racist movie. It's satire that makes fun of racism.
While the entire movie isn't racist, something like Mr Yunioshi in Breakfast at Tiffany's is absolutely racist portrayal of a Japanese man due the extreme stereotypes used (and the fact that Micky Rooney is white as frick). However, they also ultimately weren't necessarily trying to shite on Japanese people so it's nowhere near as nefarious as some other movies.
A movie that is straight racist is something like The Birth of a Nation as its practically a love letter to the KKK and white supremacy.
(not responding to you TG, just the thread in general)
