has anyone else watched this movie? I seriously tried watching it, and I had to keep shutting it off because it was so ridiculous and boring.

I ended up skipping through the last 45 minutes, hoping something rational would happen. I typically enjoy world disaster movies too.

The acting was flat, the story was ridiculous, they never really explained anything (at least as far as I could tell), even Halle Berry was terrible, and I usually enjoy her in movies.

I had hope for this movie, but in the end, it was just awful.

I just watched this a few nights ago and came in with VERY low expectations. These disaster movies are usually my guilty pleasure (2012, Day after Tomorrow, San Andreas) but this one was pretty boring.

**SPOILERS**

When they finally start their launch to the moon I decided to check how much time was left... to find out it was still almost an hour left! It just plodded along and wasn't enjoyable.

You missed basically nothing besides dumb sci-fi exposition. Turns out moon was made by our ancestors to support new human life on another planet, typical AI uprising, conspiracy theorist guy (Sam from GoT) dies to save the day from the black cloud monster

Yeah I can deal with cheesy bad disaster movies.

Moonfall was just straight up a poorly made, unenjoyable film.

There was a thread about it a day or two ago, and they basically had the same sentiment as you. I want to watch it at least half-assedly though because several people said some of the scenes are gorgeous.

I watched the whole thing and I guess it was more like background noise because I only really remember the last 20 minutes or so.
