With Finding Dori in the pipeline, I have little faith.

Think about what you're saying here. You're miffed that Disney didn't make a drinking reference in an animated movie marketed to kids. Just think about that for a sec.

This is what I was thinking.

Brought my kids to see it today and they enjoyed it, so it was good to me.

Pixar is the company who made Weed jokes with freaking Cheech in Cars yet they can't make a joke about drinking in college?

The line "the 60s were good to you weren't they" is juuuuuust a little bit different than showing the monsters drinking don't ya think? Not to mention didn't they have a freaking beer pong scene in the previews?

Trust me. It was a slow, predictable movie which is not what you expect from Pixar. Hell, I even liked Brave.

You can't really critisize an animated/cgi movie made for children, and say well it sucks it is just for kids. Isn't that the point? But from the preview this movie seemed more like something that was something suited better for a straight for dvd release. I have not seen it, but would probably wait till it came out on redbox, or netflix.

That's just it. What separated Pixar...well what did was that their films could be enjoyed by all ages. I won't come close to crap like Kung Fu Panda because they pander to kids with fart humor and the like.

The monsters in this new one are supposed to be right out of high school. How much "smart writing" did you expect? Have you talked to an 18 year old lately?

The Spongebob Squarepants movie got away with it when Spongebob and Patrick go to the ice cream bar and get shitfaced, and then Spongebob shows up wasted to work the next day. I think if they can pull it off, Pixar could figure a way.

Made an estimated $30.5 million in its first day.

Going to see it tonight with family. I don't have the expectations I used to with Pixar movies; doesn't mean I can't enjoy it though.
