Anyone catch the first episode?
I think it has potential, I think they tried too hard incorporating stuff from Memphis though.
And the singing could be excluded IMO(if it's gonna be recurring)...

that's because the are shooting in NOLA, so probably overdoing it a bit to sell it

I wonder if Joy, Crab Man, Randy, and Patty the Daytime Hooker will make cameos on this show.

I watched it. I lived in Memphis for several years and found the Memphis stereotypes almost as bad as the stereotypes of New Orleans/Louisiana in other shows. <sigh>
Writing was ok--seemed a bit forced, but the first couple of episodes have to introduce the whole cast so I'll probably watch a few more episodes before I judge that.

I'll check it out.
ABC has a show coming this fall called Detroit 187.

That makes since then. They had something Elvis related in every scene.
I still can't stress enough disdain for the singing, I pray they don't do it every show. Him being and Elvis impersonator doesn't really drive the plot anywhere...

and that is likely because of the Michigan tax credit program ... or maybe not
The Gates is shooting here as well ... quite a run for La.

I watched the first one. I will give it a few episodes before a critical review. I think if it doesn't get any better I will watch till my regular shows come back on. I hope it picks up because I like Jason Lee.

Okay, just watched the first two episodes. The most exciting part for me was in the second episode when I noticed part of it was shot at John L. Ory school in LaPlace. That's right by my parents house. Apparently, they've also been filming at the Frostop and the hospital. Will keep an eye out for them.
Hopefully, there will be more than that to keep me interested.

I watched the first episode and did not care much for it. Meant to watch the second one but something came up so I will try to watch the third one see if I like it.

I still haven't came to a conclusion yet on this show 3 episodes in.
It lacks something, true police drama maybe. It just doesn't strike me as the genre they claim to be in.
And again, I really don't see the point in making him an Elvis impersonator...

Yeah. That Frostop actually has a Facebook page belive it or not and I think they may have some pics of the filming there and may even have info of when they film there.

Yup, a couple of nurses from River Parishes have non speaking roles in the episode next week. They shut down one hall of the hospital to film it a few months ago. Got quite a few complaints from patients.
