Just seem to be much larger in size. Obviously the bats were very different, but today's players just seem to be much smaller than those in the 90s.
Anyone else notice a significant difference in sizes of college baseball in the 90s versus today's players? Were steroids as prevalent in college then as they were in MLB?

I look at our team today and then the 96 and even 2000 team, and it seems to be very different.
It is such a grind doing the same thing all day everyday, and on top of that...people hate you for calling them. The absolute worst kind of sales. Without a doubt.
i would hate it if I was on the receiving end of all these calls. It is draining to make all these calls everyday.

I go home wanting to :banghead:
You have no idea...try selling stuff to people who don't want to be sold.

Cold calling as an employment skill

Not necessarily asking if you are only looking to do sales, but in general as an employer...how much do you value inside sales/cold calling for potential employees? I am currently in a position like this and absolutely hate it. Thoughts? Anyone else on the board have a previous job like this?

I have to make around 150 calls a day. Just FYI

I agree, will let them know I was not looking for a job, but because they reached out to me I wanted to give it a shot. It is a company I can see myself building a career in.

Job Question

I had interviewed with a company months back, got to the final round, but was informed they were no longer moving forward with the position.

I recently started a job, 2 months ago. Not what I want as a career, but good for right now.

The company I had interviewed back when called me out of the blue Friday, and informed me they wanted me to come back for another position. It is a dream career opportunity.

Should I mention the company I am working for now in the interview? Don't want to seem like a job-jumper or someone who is always looking for something else. Any thoughts or advice?

I live in the area. Tons of indian places...called "Curry Hill." Some decent dive bars around. Really, you want to go to East Village.

Ourstage.com- New Music Discovery site

Has anyone else heard of this site? Has over 200,000 emerging artists, and allows you to listen to them all. Over 40 different genres of music. Kind of like an American Idol online, but without the awful karaoke. Thoughts?

I am currently looking for an apt in NYC. Have a steady full time, plus a part time for extra cash. For those of you in NYC, or other major metro areas, how much (%) of your yearly paycheck are you spending on rent? I am looking in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Just want to get an idea. Thanks!
