Still set for a sequel
ETA read through the article and seems to be quoting the last thing Amazon put out. Mostly analyst opinion here and not news
I liked it well enough but I don't need it sequel and don't see how the sales justify one.
This was originally a toy franchise with cute morality lessons after every episode. Unless I missed something they aren't suddenly selling tens of millions of He-man toys

This was a really fun movie. Normally they try to overdo the jokes or they're corny, but the jokes were great in this movie

It came out on Amazon Prime today.
My son and I enjoyed it. His first experience with He-Man was the most recent Netflix shows and those couple seasons don’t hold a candle to this movie.

Watched it last night, fun action movie. Hints of Ragnarock and Flash Gordon added to the cartoon story worked well.

That Eternia track is electric as well

Yea, they did a good job adding the right tones to update this world.

Definitely had a Flash Gordon vibe. I watched it today. Really loved it and reminded me of my childhood. We need a live action Thundercats.

Thundercats would be cool. Aren’t they trying to do a live action Voltron as well? That could be good, it’s a bigger story and could do multiple movies with it.

I just finished watching this. Granted, I am the exact age of old school He-Man fans, so I may be biased, but I thought it was awesome. It definitely was a mix of Ragnarok and Flash Gordon. Unfortunately, my millennial wife and young son were not interested whatsoever. But I loved it.

Couple complaints but minor.
A lot of the jokes were a little flat. Not sure why they continue to think whimpy man things are funny but it was a bit much.
Wish they had more weight and vocal presence on the “I have the power!”
I do wish He-Man was a little bigger
Overall liked it very much.

On Prime and it was great. Definitely got the Flash Gordon vibe (the Queen influence helped). Good kind of campy and they leaned into it well. Teela is a damned smokeshow.

Plus, it has gotten very good word of mouth and will get a lot of eyes on it now that it's on Prime.

I definitely surprisingly enjoyed it. Did not go into it with high hopes, but it was just a fun, silly movie. It leaned into the cheesiness of the cartoons well IMO, was paced well, and the action sequences were cool. The final fight scene, when Skeletor just goes "Oh balls", I lost it. Was not expecting that reaction in the moment and it hit the funny bone hard

I couldn’t last 5 minutes. Horrible.

Thought it was really good. The only complaint I have is that the Skeletor humor was unnecessary. He is a great villain. Adding goofy humor where it didn’t need to be took away some of that.
Other than that it was exactly what I expected it to be in a good way.
