Curious how many people on here watched this? Just finished it and thought it was brilliantly done.
We hadnt even heard of it until it won best Comedy at the Golden Globes.
My thoughts and curious what others thought
- Perfect casting on the parents- Tony Shalhoub was genius
- I dont mind her, but the sidekick bar owner did kind of get on my nerves. She can be a bit too over the top
- Good god Rachel Brosnahan is hot
- Anyone else think her mom was a smokeshow? Shes only 51 and they make her up to be much older. She fine...

Excellent show. Really well done. Her tits are fantastic.
The dad was the best character imo. Funny as hell.

It’s one of the best shows I’ve seen in a while. I feel like her style of humor is what Amy Schumer attempts and fails at miserably. The running joke of Alex Borstein looking like a man was one of my favorite parts.

My wife and I enjoyed it tremendously. Rachel Brosnahan is hilarious.

The father and son calculating the odds of seeing a certain person in a restaurant is one of the most hilarious well-written scenes I've ever watched.

It’s incredibly well written, well cast, well acted and well SHOT (check out how many long tracking shots are in it) and the lead actress is a smoke show with great comedic timing and amazing tits. Really fabulous show. As good as TV gets. Had my wife and I both laughing throughout.

I very rarely rewatch a show but I think I’ll go through Maisel again soon.

Never would’ve expected this role or acting out of her based on her HOC work

After Mrs. Maisel swept the Emmy Awards, we decided to give it a watch.
It had a slow start (first couple of episodes were a little corny and over the top). But man, once it started clicking, it was an amazing show.
I was hesitant to watch a series about comics because they usually have shitty, shitty writing for the stand-up sets. This show has top-notch writing throughout. And performances to match.
I expected perfection from Tony Shalhoub, but Brosnahan had equally perfect timing. Can't believe it's taken Alex Borstein this long to get a great series. She's fricking amazing in this show.
I had no idea that the mother was Jon Cryer's ex-wife from Two and a Half Men until I read this thread.

I knew that woman looked familiar
I enjoyed the Sherman-Palladino writing and it was well casted. Alex Borstein in great. Looking forward to season two.

Hadn't watched it yet ... we're starting it when we get back from Vegas in October.
shite, 51 is old? Trust me. It's not. My wife is about to turn 50 next month and she's a whole lot younger than me.
Problem is they don't want to give up the patooty anymore at that age ... except once in awhile - like when you take them to Vegas. Even then they put conditions on it.
