Just watched a few episodes on Hulu and it still holds up well today. I like how they were able to evolve the characters and keep them fresh throughout the run. Show is very well written and doesn't get stale.

One of the episodes I watched last night was "No Motorcycles" from Season 6, one of the best in the series.

I remember watching this as a kid
And then watching breaking bad

And I still couldn’t get out of my head while watching breaking bad that this was the same guy who was being shaved by his wife in the kitchen while reading the newspaper

Is The Office considered a sitcom?

Dewey's character being old enough to participate in the shenanigans is when the show really started to shine. I think he was the best character in the later seasons. Putting him in the mentally handicapped class was genius.

Absolutely, however, I still have it ranked behind “Community”, “That 70’s Show”, and “Scrubs” for best sitcoms of that decade. Top 5, without a doubt. I can’t think of a show featuring children as the main characters that better adapted to them growing up and maturing than with “Malcom in the Middle”. Most other shows onlf that era relegated the kids to being background characters or switched out actors when they got too old. Malcom did a great job of aging the show with the characters.

I have made it known many times that I don’t care for The Office’s “cringe” style humor. I don’t find it funny, I cannot relate to the characters, and all of the characters are horrible horrible people. That would be fine if they were meant to be the butt of the joke or face comeuppance for their awfulness (see Seinfeld), but instead, the show keeps trying to make you like them. It just comes across as forced, and I don’t care for it.

The episode where Hal reveals his roller-dancing past to Malcolm...

Jesus. I almost pissed myself.

I find it a little weird that they never took out the Chris Benoit clip from the opening credits for the reruns. I was watching a rerun about a week after the murder suicide and thought for sure that they would eventually edit that out.

The show's ability to write funny lines for all the characters is what made the show as a whole age well. They didn't have useless characters.

Dewey smoking Hal's old cigarettes - which are stashed all over the house, and building the hybrid electric organ in the garage are two of my favorite episodes.

What's really crazy is Frankie Muniz had a stroke and suffered memory loss and forgot he was an actor.
