This little exchange led up to one of the best but whoopins in sports film history...
I played catcher, and used to say this next gif from time to time.... Said it one time and the guy just looked back at me with a wtf pissed off face. He ended up striking out and just started banging his bat on home plate after and the ump told me after the innning was over that that he was holding back a laugh when I said it. Good times.
Edit: and they did show a decent amount of practice.

Such a great movie. I just went no documentaries bc it would have clouded the line of what is a sport movie and whats not. Or a mini series? Ken Burns Baseball documentary is one of the greatest documentaries of all time, but its like a 10 part documentary. I'm not sure how far they would have gotten bc if I had to guess, not as many people have seen them as much as a movie like Caddyshack or Hoosiers.
When We Were Kings is another one I would have had on my list if we did documentaries.
