We saw that when MIB went down via the creek he absorbed the "darkness",
she was dead?
maybe the dark went back to the golden shower to chill?

How would she go about having light and dark simultaneously?

that diagram literally explains everything I have ever wanted to know. should have put SPOILER before that Stu

That's why the MIB wants to get off the island so bad. How could we have missed it?
He wants a McDLT.
He wants a McDLT.

They stopped listening to my RAs a long time ago. Apparently, Stu's pull runs deep in TD.com, so deep it puts that arse to sleep

Only if it appeals to his audience, otherwise, he/she will not be a successful writer. Cuse and Lindelof obviously did well in compiling an overall successful series but clearly "Across the Sea" was not one of their finer moments from the perspective of many even ardent fans.

And it's a reader's prerogative to be pissed when the writer tells a jumbled tale.

I'm reserving final judgment until after next Sunday night, but I'm not pleased with the post wrap interviews with cast members.
NOt a single cast member has talked about the finale as "awesome", "fans are going to love it", "it will blow your mind", "its the most amazing ending evar".
No, they are saying things like "well I read the script six times and still didn't really get it, but I think after the fans watch this and then ponder it for months they may come to appreciate it." and "Well, not everyone is going to be happy with the answers", etc...
worrisome.

Terry O'Quinn, Nestor Carbonell, Jorge Garcia, and Daniel Dae Kim have said the finale is incredible.

Likewise. And even if the finale is less than fulfilling, I have enjoyed the vast majority of LOST episodes and the interaction among fans.

More evidence for my theory, perhaps. Jacob also seems to have wanted to die just like Mother. Jacob didn't resist Ben very much when about to be stabbed. He got Hurley to get on 316. Elie and Ben helped put the kill Locke and get Hurley/Jack/Kate/Sun/Sayid (maybe Lapidus as well) back to the island plan in motion, beginning from early season 5. Maybe Jacob went to see Elie and Ben as well. Either way, this is an interesting parallel.

I think I may be outthinking myself on this one. Miles told Ben that Jacob didn't want Ben to stab him up until his last second of breath. So he may have not wanted to die, but definitely did not want Ben to make that wrong decision.
