Will I be the only one upset if Lapidus ends up having one of the most dynamic roles in the finale?
I haven't read any websites or spoilers, but there's a nagging buzz he's going to have a big roll if he outlived Jin, Sun and Sayid on the sub.
Not to mention there better be a good damn explanation of how he survived the door and all the water. (if that is indeed the case)

If there's one thing LOST isn't good about, its explaining how characters somehow survive something that would in all likelihood kill them (Charlie, Mikhail, Jin, etc.).

So, who is they? The Losties that died? The people the mother killed? The Others that died? The Dharma people that died? or is it the Mother and the MiB?

The people the mother killed?

I was hoping "They" would be the many people Jacob brought to the island (mentioned in Ab Aeterno). Hopefully we'll get a deeper understanding of why Jacob brought them and what they died for.
"While The Man In Black devises a new strategy, Jack's group searches for Desmond." Not sure where my theory fits into this description though

If he survived, there will only be one explanation....the island wasn't finished with him.

I'd like that.

I wouldn't count on it. Not enough time left for explanations.

Some on here would argue that you do not need explanations.

Considering that is the title of the episode, I'm expecting for us to get that answer.

How soon we forget last week.

Playboy interviewed Matthew Fox recently, asked what happens to his character. He said he can't say, but his character ends up in a pretty awesome place. (not word for word) Thought it was cool that he liked his character's ending.
Also, from Knocked Up:
Alison Scott: I'm actually doing my first on-air interview today.
Ben Stone: With who?
Alison Scott: Uh, Matthew Fox.
Ben Stone: Matthew Fox from Lost?
Alison Scott: Yeah.
Ben Stone: You know what's interesting about him?
Alison Scott: What?
Ben Stone: Nothing!

I'm trying hard to forget. But like the Matrix, it's like a splinter in my mind.
Seriously though, I fully expect tonight's episode to be uplifting and the finale to be satisfying. I am hoping for more insight into the motives of Jacob and MIB but not expecting it and I have pretty much written off the weak technological explanation of the donkey wheel associated with the light.

Did anyone see the Kimmel bit where he kept asking Matthew Fox what happened to his arm (after filming the finale) and he wouldn't talk about it? Pretty funny. They had a "reveal" and it showed Jack falling down a sewer manhole. Probably not far from what will actually happen to him?

For future reference, I'm going to just treat last week's supposed episode like I treat the supposed Star Wars prequels and Matrix sequels: It doesn't exist. So as I was saying, last week's episode was great, especially when Sayid went out in typical Arab fashion with a bomb strapped to his chest.

Hasn't it been a while since we've seen Faraday(I know he's dead, but not in side flash) and his mom? I'm thinking they will be making an appearance soon.....

I'm thinking it refers to EVERYONE who has died in the series (with a few exceptions.
