I think that was in an epi near the beginning of the second season (or maybe the end of the first season - can't remember). It's sometime after Kate sees him at the recruiting center.

The "un-caused" cause as I like to say.

I believe that Richard is exploiting Ben, and it could be because Richard is serving Esau and not Jacob. Not sure yet.
If this is the case, what's with the question/password thing about "what lies in the shadow of the statue" or however it goes? And why does he look so surprised to see Locke in the box?

True.... Jacob visits llana in the hospital to make sure she is up for helping him, then she shows up on the island and tells Richard the secret phrase and he knows it

Other crazy shite I just found that I never knew...
Jacks wife was in the accident with Shannons father
Locke inspected Nadias house before she bought it
A painting by claires bf is on Whitmores office wall

No, why would they?

No, why would they?
Also, I forgot they showed up after "Locke" had gone in the statue, not before... right?

1. Kate's dad, Sam Austen, is the commander of the U.S. Military unit who captured Sayid's Republican Guard Unit in Desert Strom.
2. Nadia, Sayid's wife who he helped escape interrogation in 1995, was the woman who Charlie saved from the mugger in England (Season Three Finale when Charlie lists the top ten moments in his life)
I noticed both these when I watched it all after season 5.
Also, the lunchbox Kate and her childhood sweetheart buried under the tree was the one that Kate was stealing when she first met jacob.

Yeah, I remember that episode. Jack chose to work on Sarah (his wife) even though she was in worse shape and the intern couldn't do the procedure that would have saved Shannon's father. I think Christian ended up telling Shannon's family that her father died.

Crazy. I'll bet there is a ton of this stuff that barely anyone recognizes.

BC they were suspicious of him

Yeah, they were looking for Ricardo.... They are obviously on the same team. Still a little confused about that.

No doubt but on a second watch you notice it. I couldn't believe all the cross over when I watched the series again.

Also how was Ben supposed to raise Alex while he was still a member of DHARMA?
This is the toughest question. I wonder if some light will be shed on these three years (1989-1992) in Season Six.
I don't doubt you but I can't remember how we konw that Ben has not gassed the DHARMA people when he goes to steal Alex. Help?

Jacob sent them to Richard to show them that Lock is dead. Maybe Jacob knew what was happening but couldn't directly do anything (boy with fish bowl theory) to stop it so he was trying to get Lock's body to Richard before he led MIB/Lock to where Jacob actually resides.

Oh and another question. It never really bothered me that there was a pillar of smoke that could pick people up and throw them around the jungle or that an island could move and you could time travel 30 years or more, but what really bothers me is how the frick did the Black Rock end up in the middle of the island?

Its very safe to assume they will answer that this season. I did think that the Island moved at one point in the past and came out from under it, but the Incident seems to dismiss this.

How so? I'm not sure I understand what the incident is. Is it them either drilling too far at the Swan (or when Juliet set off the nuke)?
Edit: I thought about it and am pretty sure I am correct.

End Theory/
I came up with this on my own. Avid watcher and have spent WAY too much time on lostpedia and other sites but I don't check the theories because I don't want to be clouded
I keep having this feeling that the end game is going to be therapy. Like, all the characters on the show went to a hypno-therapist who made them envision themselves on an island where they'd somehow find redemtion for all the things that have gone wrong....and the characters that died had to "kill off" their old selves.
Therapist is either Jacob(with Essau being their collective doubts/fears/demons and Jacob in the "island" being the therapy) or the faith healer

So just like "Identity"?
I think the writers are a little more creative than th at.... Had they done it before Identity came out then I could see it as a possibility, but all the fans will be pissed that they just ripped off the plot to another movie.
