Either that or only one of each person can exist when the time lines merge. Which means killing them = letting their other selves live.

Great episode. I'm loving Jack right now. The whole "man of faith, man of reason" has totally come full circle now. Locke's trying to get everyone off the island (like Jack used to) and Jack seems perfectly content to stay.
I like that they came out and said Jack's dad in Season 1 was in fact MIB. We all pretty much figured that one out, but it was nice for them to come out and say it. They seem to be doing something like that every episode. Good move on their part.
I'm pretty confused about the alt timeline (pretty much always have been) and have no idea how it's going to play out.
Also, MIB to Jack at the end..."You're with me now." Wow.

It seems to me that you are drawing connections where they aren't meant to be drawn.
Real time line Locke just ran Sun into a tree causing her to lose verbal abilities. She then sees alt time line Locke and says "it's him". She had a similar moment to the others in recognizing a person from the real time line.

This is exactly why I've never believed MIB is in Locke. I think Sun was just having a deja vu moment when she was saying "it's him, it's him."

Jack's agenda that the best move is simply to do whatever the opposite of MIB is - very curious. Considering how quickly he went along with Sawyer's plan to get away from MIB
